Can't Delete Email in Outlook Express - Comments Page 5

Out of no where OE freezes when it opens...nothing works, have to use Alt/Ctrl/ delete several times to get out.

Funny, if I want to send a webpage or link via email, it sends it even though I can't read my emails...?????

I bought the program for a discounted price of $29.99. Was charged $39.99. The reason I bought it was I could not delete e-mails. Have installed the program and still can't delete old emails. That was the lead line on the internet explorer where I located your product.

wowwww.... i had the problem... first i tried myself...than i realized i'm not an expert and no use of putting head on this. i searched on net and i got you people. It took just 1 minute for me after reading threads here. and now outlook is running like a charm. thanks everyone here...you saved a lot of time for me...

For 1 week I have been searching the web for an easier way to solve this problem. Using your idea of closing the preview pane and using "Shift/delete" was so simple. My messages would completely freeze OE to where I had to shut down the laptop and re-boot to move forward. Thanks a million.

I think I fixed my "delete" problem! First empty the "delete" file, then COMPACT the "delete" file (open "delete" file the go to FILE and look for COMPACT)..... Takes about 10 min....I hope this helps.

Shift and delete worked well for me. Does not go to trash file but who cares!

i, too, have a frozen email in my outlook express. the above suggestions don't work. the email first arrived from my yahoo.com as a double. the one i read and deleted with ease. the second one i automatically went to delete which produces an eternal hourglass ever since. gotta ctrl/alt/delte to end task and the whole thing shuts down. i'm positive there's no bug with it. not only was it's twin fine, but that person sends me emails all the time and never a problem. a computer friend says it got stuck on it's way from yahoo. he used a lot more technical terms. sure would appreciate some help. any other ideas?

I tried to send an email with a video attachment and it got stuck in the Outbox for the past 3 days. I cant open it becasue it says "outlook has begun transmitting this message..." I cant delete it because it just sits there and now I cant send other emails! Can someone please help me.....BILL GATES IS AN OAF because I called to get some kind of helpo for this NEW product and they wanted to charge me 49.00 can someone help?

For a YEAR I had an unsolicited message in Microsoft Express. Every time I tried to delete it, the program would freeze. I tried everything I could think of, even spoke to a chap in India who could not help. Today, I clicked on "find message" entered Plasma TV for sender and Couch Potato for subject. The message appeared in the window, I clicked on shift delete and it went away. I was really in a jam too since I had deleted a bunch of messages from my inbox and the message in question was on top and highlighted therefore I was frozen. Spend hours trying stuff till this procedure did the trick.
