I use converter TuneCab. It removers DRM, converts any kind of audio and video data to all commonly used formats such as MP3, AAC, WAV audio, MPEG4, DivX movie, and easy to use. Try here: http://tunecab.com/ |

Just so you know, I followed your instructions for switching the encoder to the mp3 encoder... and iTunes let me convert the files to mp3's right there and then. Thanks! |

here's another happy customer with your tips! Thanks a million Bob ! I downloaded (=bought) a couple of songs from Itunes on Tuesday, thinking I should be able to transfer to the Creative player I was going to buy on Wednesday... No way! So your advice really helped, thanks again |

Rather than give iTunes any more money, I now buy my MP3 downloads from Amazon.com, where they are DRM-free. Go to http://www.amazon.com/ and find "MP3 downloads" under "Digital downloads" |

I have an iTunes library with 3000+ songs (99%+ from CDs I own). I generally listen to them on my iPod. I just received a new phone that can play MP3s. I would like to be able to create a playlist and copy them to the new phone (I really want one device, but can't do the iPhone thing). Does any of the software mentioned in here do this simply? EDITOR'S NOTE: If the song are ripped from your own CD's, they should not be protected. Therefore, you should be able to use the "Convert to MP3" function within iTunes. |

ok i got the first part but, do you buy the song and then click right button? Because it didn't show the convert thing... and i just got a new mp3 player for my b-day. PLEASE HELP ME! EDITOR'S NOTE: See the instructions in the article. This applies ONLY to songs that are already in your iTunes library, AND they must be unprotected. |

The new creative zen (called just CREATIVE ZEN) support unprotected aac tracks on itunes. AKA the new player will allow you to add your itunes library to it without having to convert all the songs to MP3s! EDITOR'S NOTE: yes, but not the stuff you bought from itunes... |

I'm not sure what I've done wrong. I cut the .aac files to a cd as described. Tried to copy them back to iTunes and it doesn't work. Nothing shows up. Btw - I have a MacBook Pro running the latest system. Have they upgraded it to the point where this doesn't work? EDITOR'S NOTE: Maybe it's because the AAC files are already there? |
