This _was_ good assistance, but I'm afraid after upgrading to version 8 of iTunes that it's been rendered irrelevant, as there's no longer an 'Importing' tab in the Edit / Preferences window :-( EDITOR'S NOTE: It's not irrelevant, just in a different place. Look in the General tab under Edit / Preferences. See where it says "When you insert a CD:" Next to that is the Import Settings button. |

Just tested NoteBurner on both the Windows and Mac systems, worked fine on both systems. The converting speed is amazing, and the output file quality makes no difference from the original. I will consider to purchase it later for converting my iTunes library... |

Very helpful, thank you. I updated to 8, and no longer had the right-click or advanced tab option "Convert Selection to mp3", but I realized after reading I needed to set the import method to mp3 first, like I had it set in 7. Thanks again. Props on being comprehensible, and speaking directly to the issue. True net resourcer. |

Setting NoteBurner as your current CD burner in iTunes 8 will be much more simple... Click the "Burn Disc" button at the bottom right window, and there will be a pop-up window, then you can select "NoteBurner Virtual_CD_RW" as the CD burner, and click "Burn" button to start burning the playlist. |

Thank you Bob. I have been wanting to play shared music files from my wireless laptop on my PS3 but you have to use windows media player 11 to do so. All my music files were saved on iTunes so I was stuck. Thankfully I only purchased a handful from crApple so your method of converting them worked flawlessly. Thanks! |

Great tip, very straightforward explanation of something that should have been (but wasn't) simple in the first place. Thanks! |

Or you all can just use monstermusic.com....downloads are compatible with any mp3 player including the ipod so there is no need to convert! |
