Hi Bob, I desperately need your expertise here. I recently downloaded some songs for a music video I am working on. Well, went I went to iTunes to convert, it did exactly like you said. I was able to do it before, from what I remember, I burned the songs to a CD (Audio), changed the MP3 encoder, and imported them as MP3, and my computer asked me for that selection. Now, I can't do it. I am following all your directions, and I can't seem to get it. I would be so thankful if you could help me out. Thanks so much Bob, I really appreciate any help you can give me.

EDITOR'S NOTE: What happens when you try following the instructions I gave? (Be specific.) Did you try any of the other techniques for DRM removal?

Just as user Raelene Christian mentioned above, I too have used the download from iTunes/burn to CD/re-download to iTunes/convert to mp3 process with success in the past.

When I tried the same thing last night, I was no longer successful. I used the burn CD feature from iTunes but the CD I burned will not play on my PC or any other normal CD players.

I cannot imagine what I might have done wrong or different from last time, but if you helped Raelene Christian with specific suggestions, perhaps you could pass those along to me as well. Much appreciated & thanks in advance.

EDITOR'S NOTE: If you burned a CD on your PC and it won't play on your PC, the I'd suspect the CD is bad and try another. Did you burn an AUDIO CD? (You don't want a DATA CD or an MP3 CD.)

Thanks so much, very easy to do and so helpful. I'm putting songs on a mp3 player for my niece, so now she has the songs I bought for her.

Thanks so much. I'll try NoteBurner. I've always used Windows Media Player until I got an iTunes gift card. I was going to burn several purchased albums on to an mp3 CD like I do in WMP and realized that I couldn't because they were AAC files. That is ridiculous that I can't use my purchased music (which I think is overpriced anyways for a non-physical copy) any way I want. I guess this is just one more gimmick to get me to buy an iPhone...LOL.

This is helpful for me SO FAR, because I'm converting from iTunes to Songbird. It plays all kinds of audio format, and works with iPod. It looks just like iTunes too, so its easy to figure out.
