I have what I assume is the newest version of Itunes. I bought 12 songs this morning NOT knowing about this crap AND I dont see anywhere on there these above options of changing the files (but will look again) and I popped in a brand new blank CD to try the other option and got a pop up box about burning the songs cant be done cuz cuz cuz. Looking like 12 bucks down the drain..........

EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, but why pay $40 for this when you can get other software to do the job for free?

This article answered so many questions! Thank you!! Also-- if you want this to work with your protected AAC files, you need to pay a premium to convert them to iTunes plus files. You can also try burning them to an audio CD and ripping them as mp3s... sometimes it works

I couldn't get this to work. I've downloaded 3 different converters that should be able to convert it, but I can't find anything in iTunes to burn a CD. I even followed all the instructions Ive found in several places. It really aggravates me that Apple won't allow us to do what we want with something that is rightfully ours!

Thanks, Bob, you're a legend! If it wasn't for you, my son wouldn't have got his meditations put on his MP3 player!
