I keep seeing the reference to iTunes 6.0, and how Jhymn won't work with it. Does anybody know where a guy can download an older version of iTunes, that will work with Jhymn? EDITOR'S NOTE: This looks promising: http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.htm |

SOOOO annoying! Burning a CD sounds promising - do you burn it through itunes, or another windows package - before importing to convert to mp3? EDITOR'S NOTE: It shouldn't matter what software you use to burn the CD. |

Thank you SOOO much. Other sites told me other ways to convert to MP3 format, but they didn't work. Now, this is sooo much easier! THANK YOU! |

I have no option on my Mac OS 10.4.4's i-tunes for " the Convert Selection to MP3". And of course, I have i-tunes 6.0...Is there any otherr way to convert the music for my cd player? What about using Toast? Please help as your advice must be obsolete! (I've always loved i-mac but this is a reason to hate them!) EDITOR'S NOTE: Maybe the Mac version of iTunes won't even display the "Convert to MP3" option if you ahve selected a "protected" file. Try burning a music CD, then import, then select an imported song, and see if the MP3 option appears. |

I have iTunes 6.05 and apparently the burn CD option does not work either now...I receive a message saying iTunes purchases are protected and cannot be burned into MP3 format. EDITOR'S NOTE:I have v6.05 and burns work fine. Make sure you're burning an AUDIO CD and not an MP3 CD. |

U have iTunes 6.0.5.20 and the burn CD option produces an error (same as Skip). Iwas trying to burn to a CD-RW so chanaged to an audio CD, still getting the same problem. Any suggestions please? EDITOR'S NOTE: Do you get the error burning, or importing the tunes afterward? |

Ipods are the worst manufactured technology equipment in the history of the world. They break constantly for no reason and Apple fails to provide a repair service because they are so cheap. Get a Dell. They are cheaper and more reliable. |

Thanks - this was helpful in the extreme. For all the Mac's strength as a media production machine, it's a damnably hard machine with which to perform routine tasks on that media. |

Good info and thanks for taking the time. Is there a better way for music that we are missing here? Some of us are willing to pay a fair rate for our music. Are there any legit sites with a large selection that allows it to be downloaded in an unprotected format? EDITOR'S NOTE:See http://www.askbobrankin.com/digital_music_and_lyrics.html for some alternatives to iTunes. |
