My computer will restart when i open 3D things for example when i play games and when i open google earth. No minidump file created. I disable auto restart already. CPU no overheat. Why it still restart???? Recently i bought a new ram(512mb) and i pair it with another same type of ram(512mb). EDITOR'S NOTE: Try removing the old RAM and run with just the new RAM. |

I have been having the same problem with the computer restarting several times when I first turn it on, and then randomly (and increasingly) while it is running - usually while I'm using it. I tried un-checking the "automatically restart," and now I can't get it booted past the first screen that pops up on startup (and I don't see any particular error message to reveal the problem). my question: what now? how do I get it to boot up again? EDITOR'S NOTE: Have you tried doing a System Restore to a point when things were better? Have you ruled out bad RAM? |

If i search on google.com for "restart automatically problems" it displays the link but if i click on one of them it restarts again. I can still access emails and visit other websites also search for other contents through google.com. i have unchecked the option of "automatically restart" still the problem continues. what should i do next? EDITOR'S NOTE: Did you try the system file checker (SFC) command? |

Computer restarts, before entering Windows, and keeps restarting over and over. Machine started doing it so, I replaced one thing after another, PS, Mem, HD, Vid, with no luck. Tried eliminating CD-Rom completely, to no avail. Any help here would be great. EDITOR'S NOTE: Sounds like the only thing left is the motherboard... |

My computer restarts, but I have to say that my Windows XP Version is not legal. Maybe Microsoft has "planted" some kind of "malfunction" for this kind of versions through Windows Update? I reinstalled all and it worked fine until I downloaded the first patches, there all started again. |

My problem is when i run games my computer restarts or should i say not restart, all the fans etc are still running but my audio/ monitor goes off and lights on keyboard dont respond , this doesnt happen at all on unreal-99 but but does happen on counterstrike or silkroad , sometimes i can play the games for a while or even hours without this problem or restart, its like its totally random if i get to play the game or not please help... EDITOR'S NOTE: Sounds like bad RAM or overheating. Both can cause seemingly random problems. |
