Hey, I was wondering if you knew how to add a myspace song onto a group I have created?

EDITOR'S NOTE: There's no "official" way to add a song to a Myspace group, but here's one tricky way to do it. First, add the song to your Myspace profile. Then view the profile, and use the View Source function of your browser to see the HTML code for the profile. Copy the EMBED command for the song and paste it into the Description field of your Group. Here's an example of it in practice: http://groups.myspace.com/stinkybananas

I found that if you put the Height "#" and Width "#" both to zero, people cannot control your music. there is no player, but the music still plays. Fun stuff.

Thanks for the post but how do you put more than one song in the player?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Unfortunately, Myspace only allows you to select one profile song. You could use the other technique I describe to add several of your own MP3 songs, each in a separate player.

Hello! I have tried and tried to add and MP3 from my hard drive but have had no success at all! I created a geocities account and I did add an MP3 to the site (http://us.share.geocities.com/portland_brooke/wilco.mp3). I put it into the code that you suggested in a ton of differennt places. I put it into my myspace page and no luck. I was confused about which codes went where. Any ideas?

EDITOR'S NOTE: I checked your MP3, it's fine. If you give me your Myspace profile URL, I can check on the codes to see if they are correct.

If you wish to have your music autoplay you'll need an html code:

So, I just got a myspace, and well, I have only a few friends. Can I hide just the NUMBER of friends? Not all of my friends, I still want to be able to show that, but I don't want the number to show.

EDITOR'S NOTE: There are some custom friend list generators for Myspace (search at Google for that term). But why try to deceive? Just invite people to be your friend!

If you want music that isn't on myspace try looking at www.song2play.com. It gives you a code to post either in your about me section of your myspace profile or you can use it on a myspace group. Just post the code into the description area on your group and the song will play when people visit your group page.

I have a question. My band has made a demo cd and im trying to upload our demo cd onto purevolume.com but its saying it must be an .mp3 on the end of the code. Now it says invalid file type. How do I make it and mp?

EDITOR'S NOTE: You can use iTunes or similar to rip the individual tunes from the CD to MP3 files.
