I ran across this page that is set to private, but you are still able to she her background which is a picture of herself. How can I do that with my profile if I were to set it to private?

EDITOR'S NOTE: You need to set a background image with the profile editor.

Get on their friends list. Get a free email account under a false name. then create profile under that false name. use an idea that this person is likely to respond to. doesnt work, delete the profile and try again. keep the tries at least a couple weeks apart. avoid any references, direct or indirect to yourself. practice with non important private profile 1st.

At the moment, I have hidden my friends list from people who view my profile. The problem is I do not want them to be hidden. I just don't want people visiting my profile to be able to connect to all of my friends. In other words..I want people to be able to see my friends in my friends list but not be able to click on them and be transferred to their page. Is their a way of doing this?

EDITOR'S NOTE: I don't think you can do that. But if you show me a page where it's done, I'll poke around and figure how they did it.

What about music myspace profiles can you set them private?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Don't think so... the idea of a music profile is to get publicity!

hi i was wondering, is there a way i can make a background for people to look at even though my page is still in private mode, meaning my page is private but before they add me, they see a backround with the add me box

EDITOR'S NOTE: Sure, add a background using the Profile Editor. It will still show up when people view a Private page.

Is there a way to hide only the state I'm in? I've seen profiles that just say United States.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Just edit your profile and blank out the city.

I was just told by my friend that she could see private profiles. Is that true? I'm scared, because I know she wants to read some comments that I wrote to a friend, that I particularly don't want her to see.

EDITOR'S NOTE: To the best of my knowledge, it cannot be done. Call her bluff, ask her to tell you the last comment you posted!

wonder when people click on your profile and they get to the page where it says "this users profile is set on private..blah blah" where it just shows your picture and general info, last log in and options to add message and so on, how do you hide all of the general info. I know how to hide it on my actual profile page but not that page that people who arent my friends see?/???!
