I installed windows 7 operating system software thru my hitachi-LG CD-ROM model-GLC-680b, and after working with software icon disappeared. Now the icon has disappeared but the bootable CD, which installs software, should reinstall the software. to get back the icon in my computer, but it is not happening. I updated BIOS thru device manager, but could not get the icon. The CD rom title has disappeared from every place , and even the device manager is not showing it. My whole day passed looking for software, on internet, but I could not download the CD-ROM software even. The set-up which appears by pressing F-2, is not detecting CD-ROM in the list, however it is showing an error message to check the event log. How to find event log in set-up functions, kindly send guidelines. |
