I followed your advice, but when I set up my GeoCities account, it said I can't upload MP3 files. Is there another free personal web site creator I can try that WILL take MP3s?

EDITOR'S NOTE: I just created a brand new GeoCities account and successfully uploaded an MP3 file. Once you login, click Create & Update, then Easy Upload.

I added the sound clip code to myspace, however, it only works in IE browsers. Can you modify it to also work with firefox??? Thanks so much!

EDITOR'S NOTE: Works for me in Firefox. Make sure you have the latest Quicktime and Flash plugins.

I am able to upload my mp3's fine. When in the File Manager of my GeoCities Control Pan I can not view the mp3. When I click the "http://www.geocities.com/example/sample.mp3" quicktime opens with a question mark in the middle. As if it could not read the mp3. Any ideas? Thank you.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Sounds like a problem with the MP3. Maybe you should re-upload. Or get the latest Quicktime...

Hello, I followed the above instructions which worked perfectly. But how does one put multiple songs on to myspace, from the hardrive?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Should work the same way. But you'll want to turn off the autoplay!

I'm having the same problem where quicktime opens with a question mark in the middle. I have the latest version and I've re-uploaded a song multiple times. Any advice?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Are you using Firefox?

Gah, I can't get it to display on my Myspace. I'm using IE6, the MP3 plays fine if I just type in its Geocities link (it's a 4 Mb file), but when all the code is pasted into Myspace, I get no player (only a transparent box where the player should be) and no sound. Song works fine - http://www.geocities.com/miag8r97/small.mp3

EDITOR'S NOTE:Shows up for me... right under "Who I'd Like to Meet" heading.

I have a .wav file where I recorded myself singing. I'm trying to upload it to myspace but it keeps telling me that it has to be a Mp3 format. I tried uploading it to YOutube.com then putting the tag on myspace but that wouldn't work either. Is there anyway to upload a .wav file and to myspace or get a tag for it without having to convert it to another file. I am not able to do it becuase the priviliges to download on my computer are blocked.
