Worked 1st time. Awesome! It stopped working when I had exceeded bandwith, but I upgraded Geocities and it went away

I followed all the instructions in your tutorial and the player works fine... in IE, but not in Firefox. I have downloaded and tried every addon that might help but none have done anything except for one that opens up the mp3 in WMP. However, I am also hearing that Myspace changed their code to one that doesn't work in Firefox. Is this a Firefox problem or a Myspace problem?

I keep trying to upload my music in GeoCities but every time its 'invalid filename' and I keep renaming the file but the same thing happens. What can I do?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Make sure you get rid of any spaces or special characters in the filename before uploading. Use only A-Z and 0-9 to be safe.

Great myspace info site! I'm trying to upload a .m4a from itunes - I haven't any mp3 files. It saves and plays on geocities fine but when I paste the code into myspace it garbles the code and nothing plays. I also use safari. Any info gratefully appreciated! Thanks Bob!

I wonder why it doesn't work with other websites other than geocities. I used geocities to host the song and it works fine but when I tried to use another host it doesn't.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The hosting site shouldn't matter at all... I only recommend Geocities because it's easy and free to upload.

having uploaded to geocities fine and testing the MP3 file, i find that the file works fine. when i upload it to my myspace, it doesnt appear in firefox at all, but when i use it in IE6 it appears but just wont play. i have tried 2 different URL's for the mp3 file but it just wont play... any ideas??

i have noticed it works on my laptop, which is a bonus i guess, so im downloading IE7 for my main PC. Question is, any idea when/if/how you can get it working in Firefox?

EDITOR'S NOTE: My guess is that it works only because Myspace relies on some feature of IE7 that is non-standard. If that's the case, it will most likely never be fixed, because FF is a standards-based browser.

I added the mp3 file to the Geocities account, then I added the code (with the link substituted)to the 'I'd like to meet section' and.. nothing. It didn't display any music player and there was no sound. Any ideas??

I have done everything stated above and uploaded my mp3 file on to geocities but What is said after that about gettin it on to the myspace is not very clear can you help me please =)

EDITOR'S NOTE: Just copy the code above and paste it into your Myspace profile, after inserting the URL for your music file. MANY people have done this... it's not hard.

I made an account on geocities and tried to upload a song, but every time I try to upload it it goes to the screen "this page cannot be displayed". Why isn't it working?
