prefer to use powerful Melodycan Ultra Video converter (http://www.melodycan.com/convert_video.html). This software converts avi (Windows Video), WMV (Windows Media Video) and m4v, mov, aac, ra, aa, mp4, snd, aif, m4p, rax, wav, ogg etc.

I like that DHTML "pop-up" of sorts inviting users to register to receive updates. Is the source of that available somewhere and explaining how to install it on your own blog? (I'd rather use it from an autorized source rather than doing blatant rip-off Ctrl-U (see source) copy and paste ;-).

EDITOR'S NOTE: The one I use is courtesy of Aweber.com's mailing list service, but you can also find some very good code here: http://popup-toolkit.com/

Normally I don't comment. But you probably just saved me about 2 hours web searching (not to mention the frustration too). Thank you.

I tried a free converter MPEG Streamclip and, when I had an unprotected avi copy of my DRM protected iTunes movie all that would play was a gray screen without any sound. I tried the converted video on my Mac and DivX certified set-top DVD player.

Well, what about the people who want to convert videos, but have no intent on spending money, because i know im not going to buy a program that costs more money than the videos, I just want a simple free way to convert the videos.

Bought Tunebite Platinum based on the information found here. Unfortunately it will not convert videos in my iTunes library that have been purchased (iTunes locks up and will not play the video with the Tunebite running). It converts the videos that I have not had to purchase (video podcasts) with no issue. The site makes no reference to this limitation; however I have found multiple references to this issue in several forums.

EDITOR'S NOTE: TuneBite claims to convert copy-protected M4V video clips to unprotected WMV or MPEG4 files. Have you contacted them about the problem you encountered?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Your camcorder should have come with software to transfer the videos to your computer.
