I am an adult who uses myspace and I really think Myspace really needs to upgrade the privacy settings. Because you can block a harasser from e-mailing you but it does not stop them from viewing your page unless you have set it this way I also believe the myspace user should not be able to setup multiple pages because this is the way my harassers were contacting me anyway. |

I am a photographer with a problem I have found out that a model has been using my images with out my permission. I am looking to get onto her photo section to screen capture her images so that I have some evidence other than her main image. Can anyone help me? EDITOR'S NOTE: As far as I know, the hack that allowed viewing private photos is fixed. |

My MySpace site was completely hacked and destroyed this morning. When I went to log in my email address was not recognized by the site and my password didn't work. My 2nd site did work and when I viewed the first site via the Search it was completely cleaned out--blogs, photos, friends list, everything gone! But the putz who did this left the photo of my cat up. I've emailed Myspace about this but with no responses forthcoming. Someone came in and swept the site clean right under their noses. Is there anything I can do about this or any way I can retrieve my old site? EDITOR'S NOTE: It might be in Google's cache. Go to Google and enter this in the search box: ie: Your Myspace URL should follow the cache: |

How do I view all of a private MySpace profile without being added as one of their friends? EDITOR'S NOTE: You can't. |

how do you prevent people from hacking your myspace besides hiding your URL? EDITOR'S NOTE: I'd guess that 99% of the Myspace "hacking" is just bad passwords that are easily guessed. Hiding your URL really doesn't help-- you are still visible in search engines. |

I just found out that someone is able to view my entire private Myspace profile with a code that they have. Is there a code that I can use to prevent this? Please advise asap! Thanks. EDITOR'S NOTE: There are some holes that allow access to SOME parts of a private profile (videos and blogs), but not the entire thing, as far as I know. Try this: change your Myspace password, then put some random text in your "About Me" section. If the person who claims to have full access to your profile CANNOT tell you what you added to the About Me section, then they are lying. |

I'm kind of disappointed that you would call the hackers the "bad guys". If it wasn't for the curious nature of people the real criminals like sex fiends and kidnappers would take advantage of security holes and have an easier time committing crimes. We don't "brag" about what we do we post it as a means of letting people know whats happening. Hackers always get the bad rap, and after all it's us who created the internet. As far as people complaining about their myspace accounts being hacked, what can you expect from a website that doesn't use HTTPS:// on their main login page. The captcha codes don't even use a challenge ticket, in theory all you would need is a bot coded to refresh of backspace and then forward itself in the url to bypass any spam prevention. |
