Hi, I have connected my Laptop and TV, but no sound comes from my TV. Is there a reason for this? on the VGA Lead, there is a pin missing. The guy in the shop said it shouldnt be a problem. Is this why it is not working? EDITOR'S NOTE: Assuming your TV has a way to connect to the VGA port of your laptop, the VGA cable will send just the VIDEO signal to your TV. You'll have to do the AUDIO separately, by connecting your sound card's LINE-OUT connector to the TV. |

EDITOR'S NOTE: It really depends on the type of connector(s) you have on your computer's video card, and the jacks on the TV. The article goes into some detail on which cables to use... |

We have a 60" Pioneer LCD in a conference room and are using S-video cables to connect to a Dell laptop. The only problem is that the resolution on the screen isn't good enough to view from the conference table unless you enlarge everything to a really large size. I assume the problem is the video cards that come with the laptop. Is there a way to increase the resolution between the laptop and the LCD monitor? EDITOR'S NOTE: Have you tried changing the adapter settings -- trying out different screen sizes and resolutions? |

I have a 42" Plasma HD TV and have a cable to connect to a PC. Can I use a desktop PC or only a laptop or doesn't it matter? Also do you literally just plug it in or will it need complicated setting up things? You can see I'm very technical!!!!! My aim is to have this PC permently attached to the TV and I assume I'll have to get a wireless keyboard for added luxury? EDITOR'S NOTE: A desktop or PC should both work. Just try... it can't hurt! |

I use a Sony Bravia W2000 (Full HD - 1080p) with a HDMI-to-DVI cable, and it delivers 1920 x 1080 pixels 1:1 ratio (set in the TV setup menu) and works like a charm. There are no pixel loss, so by all means - go for HDTV! |

Hi, I have a HDTV with no vga only s video connection. My graphics card has a s video out so I connected it up... The resolution is not high enough and I cannot change the settings high enough to make it clear. I presume I need a new more powerful graphics card? is this correct and can you recommend any? EDITOR'S NOTE: What resolution is your video card using? |

Will i lose any resolution and sound quality? the laptop use's the ATI 9200 graphics card. i have checked out beko's web site and was very disappointed with the lack of information available. hi,i have a sony VGN-N21E laptop and a sony bravia lcd tv (40inch)what cable do i need to connect my laptop to my tv so i can watch movies on my tv...all i have is a vga port on my laptop i tried using my old vga cable but that might not work since the tv and laptop are allot more modern or does that not matter? EDITOR'S NOTE: If your TV has no VGA input, then you're out of luck... Unless you buy a VGA to TV converter device. The Sewell SW-4262 is one option. |
