Hello, I have a Sony big screen television that is HD capable. I hooked up my computer to it using the HD connection in the back. The screen comes up, but all of the corners are cut out. The task bar is barely visable, and all of my desktop icons that are usually on the left side of the screen are not visable. I tried adjusting the display settings but nothing seemed to work. Any suggestions? EDITOR'S NOTE: Did changing the display resolution have any effect? |

I have a Toshiba Equium A-100 laptop and a Phillips 37" LCD television. My laptop has VGA and S-Video ports but the TV only supports HDMI input when connecting a laptop or computer, therefore my only option would be to get a DVI to HDMI cable but my laptop does not have a DVI port. Is there any sort of adaptor out there that is capable of converting VGA to DVI? |

I am having the same problem as Augie (July 12, 2007- 5th post from the bottom. I have changed the resolution to the lowest setting, but the computer display just doesn't properly fit my 32 inch LCD. I have even tried to change the screen size. |

Hi, I am trying to connect a 19" Samsung LCD HDTV to my computer as a second monitor (to play video games while walking on my treadmill). I used a 25' S-video cable and get an ok picture, but it is a little grainy...the resolution is set at 1024x768. Any suggestions on how to get a clearer picture... the only other output from the video card is a VGA connection, would that be better? EDITOR'S NOTE: If your video card supports higher resolutions, it will look better. Your HD TV can support up to 1920x1080 pixels. |

I tried to play a movie from my computer on to the T.V but the picture came out in black and white. So I played the movie on the computer and the color was fine. I think the graphics card may of been reset some how. It happened before a long time ago and the computer guy fixed it within a minute but didn't explain how. Can you help me out? EDITOR'S NOTE: My best advice is to go to Controi Panel / Display / Settings and try various combinations of resolution and color quality to find one that works. |

how do i change PC settings to send the signal to the TV rather than or as well as the PC monitor. i have tried right clicking on the desktop and selecting properties; but there is no options available . sound from pc is ok on tv just no picture. Same cables work on my laptop using fn and f5 keys but there is no fn key on my desktop keyboard. EDITOR'S NOTE: Go to Control Panel / Display / Settings, then choose the desired monitor in the Display dropdown menu. |
