i forget my password

I forgot my Facebook password and also my email password, so I can't send my self a message to reset or find out what my password is. I sent 2 emails to info@facebook.com but when they answered back even though I explained everything to them they kept on asking me to send them a message from the email I used to login to facebook. But how can I if I forgot the password for that? I even tried to answer the security question of my email but it still didn't work. How am I suppose to let them know that I am the person that the account belongs to and not someone else? Please help.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Your real problem is with the email account. If you can't reset the email password, you're out of luck.

I forgot my Facebook password and have sent several e-mails to Facebook but they never respond. This is so frustrating because someone i went to high school with has sent me 3 e-mails wanting to reconnect, but i have no way of responding to her. Has anyone else had trouble getting a response from Facebook? And why must their password requirement be so rigid? It's not like they're a financial site!

Hey John, I am having the same problem. I have emailed Facebook every day for the past week and haven't heard a thing. I have checked my spam folder, scoured the internet for another solution. The forgot password link doesn't work for me. I never get the email. I too have emails of people waiting to connect and people who have added tags or whatever. I guess we just have to wait.

I finally heard from Facebook via email and my password has been reset. It took about 11 days or so to hear back from them and I sent multiple emails, but eventually they responded. Whew.....

EDITOR'S NOTE: My best advice is keep trying. There must be thousands of "lost password" requests every day, and I suspect a certain percent of them just get discarded because the support reps are too busy.

I'm still waiting on my password, it's day 6..

The p/w reset seems to be a loop. I click on "reset password" and I get an e-mail with a link. I click on the link, it goes to the "reset password" prompt, so I click on it and I get an e-mail with a link. I click on the link, it goes to the "reset password" prompt, so I click on it and I get an e-mail with a link.....how exactly does the actual p/w get reset????

EDITOR'S NOTE: When you hit the Reset Password link, you will get an email with a link that looks like this:

https://login.facebook.com/reset.php?email=none@example.com&cc=123456&tt=123456

In some email programs, clicking the link may not activate the URL correctly. I suggest you copy and paste the entire URL into your browser.

I have gotten the same 'loop' as the post above by Shep and I have copy and pasted the entire URl..........there is a definite 'glitch' with facebook . Probably their tech support can't keep up with the growth.....frustrating.
