Also, this could be a sign of a virus. Try to go to your task list by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and see if you get a message that says THIS HAS BEEN RESTRICTED CONTACT ADMINISTRATOR. If it does, you got a virus. EDITOR'S NOTE: Maybe, but I'm sure there are MANY viruses that don't prevent you from viewing the task list. Better to scan for badware. Thanks. I have never had the "run" option in my start menu, so anytime you had to use it I obviously couldn't. I asked many people and the answer had always been I'd need to re-install XP and loose everything else. Today a friend told me about this web site and I immediately was able to fix it with simply checking s box saved many hours of work. |

I like a couple of others there went to check the search and run but it is missing. And to top that off my restore does not restore on any of the high lighted dates. I can use a restore with system suite but then my adobe icons don't look right and wants to know what program to open with. Adobe is not on that list. When I tried to reinstall Adobe I got the message "the paging file is to small for this operation to complete. So I keep this setup here so my adobe works. What a mess. |
