my friend said my old myspace account is still there and now i cant get to it. the first one is not deleted which i did week ago and im trying to delete this one and still active. i dont understand this issue i have family photos in the second one and relatives far away now i cant get in contact with them. i want them all deleted hopefully keep the second one active, im not getting staight info,help...

Someone is using a friend of mine's email address and has made an account with it. They have also taken one of my pictures and has posted inappropriate and rude comments about me on the profile. I've tried to get my friend (whose email it is) to delete it but he either can't or doesn't want to. How can I get rid of this account? It's creeping me out! I've contacted Myspace twice. There is no "report abuse" thing on the profile either. Help!

i have been trying to cancel my account for a while now. i have done the regular process of cancelling the account number but i don't have the same e-mail address anymore. we don't use the same network anymore so that e-mail address doesn't work anymore. i do have another e-mail that does work though. how can i make it so that i can cancel it from the new e-mail, or without an e-mail at all??????

okkkk... so i made a mypsace profile, changed the password because of advertisments, my password worked for a while, and now it doesnt. i made up the email address for that myspace because i didnt have one, i want that myspace GONE! im tired of going threw the crap with not being able to send tom a email.. HELP ME im going to go crazy.

I recently created a new myspace account but I still have 5 pages of deleted profiles showing up under my name in the search results. I can't send a Salute as I used icons as my pictures. Is there any way to fix this?

I have sent requests to MySpace several times asking them to delete my account and the problem is when I set up the account my old Yahoo email address has & in it which is no longer valid. They told me to Remove Profile in the About Me section so I could prove I could get into the account. Well I did that as well and my profile is still there. I am quite disgusted with MySpace and their automated responses!!!

My girlfriend and I both cancelled our myspace profiles at the same time over 2 days ago. Her's was deleted right away. Mine on the other hand is still visible. Why?

Recently I've had my myspace hacked,so I tried the salute...I was just wondering,how long does it usually takes for them to check the salute because I sent it awhile ago.And I all I need to send them in a salute is the picture and the new email and passward I want it to be,right?Thanks for your help!

HELP! I've tried to cancel my myspace account several times and I never receive the confirmation email. Any suggestions?

I want to cancel my account due to mess up with username email and password.

I've tried at least 20 times to cancel my account in exactly this way. I have never once received an e-mail with instructions on how to finalize the cancellation. I'm beginning to think MySpace isn't as on the ball or truthful about their practices as they appear.

I finally emailed MySpace help desk through my real email... Their address is:

If you just deleted your profile and you haven't received the email to complete the process, here's what you do:

1. Log into MySpace

2. Mouse over Profile (in the upper nav bar) and choose Edit Profile (from the drop-down menu)

3. Remove all the content from the text boxes and type REMOVE PROFILE in the About Me text box (this way we know you have access to your profile)

4. Reply to this email, leaving the subject line intact, and tell us to delete your profile (be sure to include the URL that appears in the http:// browser bar when you visit your profile and click on your main profile photo, which will look like http://profile.myspace.com/...viewprofile&friendid=000000)

Once we receive your email, we’ll delete your profile for you.

Important stuff to know:

- deletion is permanent, so you might want to consider hiding your profile instead (see below)!

- if you'd rather take a break from MySpace, you can set your profile to private, so long as you're using profile 2.0: Mouse over Profile (on the upper nav bar); choose Customize Profile (from the drop-down menu); scroll over any module (such as friends, photos, etc.); click on the padlock, choose Just me and click the box to have it apply to your entire profile

- if you're not sure which profile you're using, mouse over Profile (in the upper nav bar), choose Customize Profile (from the drop-down menu) and the profile version will appear at the top of the page (you can also upgrade to 2.0 at this time and then set your profile to private)

- if you decide to delete your profile, it will take a few days before your profile is completely erased from our system, during which time you may still receive notifications, so be patient. We're working on it!

I got hacked in years ago on myspace so i set up a new account and new email address - which i only used for myspace purposes so that no one knew my active email address. I don't have any access to the made up email address, and now that I'm trying to cancel my account - I can't because I can't see the emails they send me. I've tried adding my real active hotmail address into the 'IM information' but nothings happened! I really need to cancel this account.

Myspace is purposely keeping your accounts up to make money. I have tried multiple times to delete my profile through account cancellation and they never do it. Anyone else have ideas????

EDITOR'S NOTE: I don't think Myspace makes much money on profiles that are abandonded. My guess is that they are woefully understaffed and poorly managed.

Understaffed? Do they really need a staff to send an automated e-mail with reply checker? I have a valid e-mail address and they still never send out these authorization e-mails they keep mentioning.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but I imagine there is some saving of face going on here and they don't want to make it easy to vanish.
