I have used TPC free faxing since year dot. Great service but they now no longer allow my Yahoo! mail. I asked them to put my address on a white list, which they did for a year after the ban came in but the ban has been re-implied. I have to do all my faxing from my other email address. One great thing about TPC is that you can send graphics, if rendered as a Postscript file first. OK the output file can be many megabytes in size but it does come out as the Fine setting on the resulting fax. TPC also covers the whole of the UK, which for me, living in London, is great! Fantastic service & it's FREE! :-)) |

I have used Internet Faxing by Faxpipe for almost 5 years. Not one glitch, and yet they aren't mentioned here. EDITOR'S NOTE: I see they have a Free trial account, but it's for receiving faxes only. Thanks for the mention. |

Would you happen to know of a good service for sending faxes in Australia? Most of the options listed here don't offer a reasonable service in this country except for eFAX. At the moment i only need to test sending one Fax and all the trial services want me to sign op with my credit card for charging after the initial period expires; any chance of a one time test, no strings attached? |

I had already run across TPC. I am very intrigued by it. I have a voip service that allows me to recieve inbound faxes in my email at my voip number for free. I am going to setup a form on my company website that will link to TPC and see if I can make it even easier for my clients to send a free fax. I will have a standard form they can fill out and a mailto link they can click so they can do it either way. I will let you know how it turns out. Maybe I will even share the script/form. By the way, I tried Faxzero and myfax and both worked well and the add was for their service. Faxzero only accepts a limited number of document types (.doc, .pdf, and I think 1 other). |

I started using MetroFax because I needed about a 1000 pages a month faxed to me. I get an 800 number and 1000 pages for 14.95 a month. Best I could find for what I needed. |

Why use an expensive and complicated fax machine when there are so many Internet alternatives? |

Faxdigits went out of business last year. |

Dear Rob, I would like to submit http://www.GotFreeFax.com, a truly free online fax website, to be considered for inclusion in this Free Internet Faxing article. http://www.GotFreeFax.com is the ONLY fax service currently available that allows users to send free fax online without inserting Ads to users' fax. It is suitable for faxing formal documents. User can either upload a PDF/Word file or enter text to fax. Thank you very much for your time. Please let me know if you need more information or have any requests. Sincerely, |

FaxDigits has bitten the dust. My wife and I each had FaxDigits accounts, but calls to both numbers now result in a voice response, "The number you have called has been disconnected. No further information is available." Also, the FaxDigits website no longer is available. EDITOR'S NOTE: Thanks for the update, I've removed that one from the list. |

Be careful of the TPC area code list. I have a K7 fax number in area code 206, but TPC will not deliver faxes, even though it claims coverage for all of AC 206. |

I like "gotfreefax.com." It does use half the cover page for advertising, but one can omit the cover page--my faxes seldom need them. You get 3 pages or 20 MB, and two faxes daily. It works. It's quick. I seldom need to send faxes, so it's a real boon for me! |

Ty for your article Bob, I used a bundled program called Fax Talk that came with my V.92 modem driver, found it a good fax program and w/call voice-box answering feature, the upgrade seems even better with features if you have call display from your TPC. |

As respects TPC, I have tried to use this service with no success. When I use the utility to check coverage, I'm told that I can send a fax to that number. However, after I send one, I get an e-mail a day later saying that the fax could not be delivered to the specified number. If it happened once, there could be a problem with a busy fax machine or something else. But when it happens every time, I conclude that the service does not really work. EDITOR'S NOTE: It's true in many areas, that TPC has fallen into disrepair. Might work better outside the US, not sure. |

I used FaxZero, recently, and loved it! I'm more interested in being able to send faxes than receive them and this was so simple and fast I was astounded. I no longer have a functioning fax machine and will not be buying a new one as I have no real need for it on a regular basis. I do find, however, that when dealing with health care transactions, fax capability is necessary as health professionals have fax machines but no other electronic setup for getting documents to them, electronically. I used a 10% coupon to buy a certain medical item by going to the medical retailer's Web site, converting the page that the coupon was on to a .pdf file, and attaching that file to my fax. I sent the fax, called the medical retailer, and then confirmed their receipt of the fax. After that I just drove there, paid for, and picked up my item. It was a snap. Thanks Bob! |
