Reading the blurb about college admissions using Facebook to screen their applicants, either it's blatantly false or blatantly stupid. I've heard the same thing about company HR, and I can't believe that either industry is spending millions of dollars per year in salaries for people to cruise Facebook to find embarrassing stuff. And with all the hoopla about hacked accounts, how does anyone verify the accuracy of such stuff? Especially since people tend to embellish or outrightly prevaricate on the internet. I think this is just ANOTHER story that YOU are being watched! There's always a boogeyman around.
