Another browser has hit the Net, this time based on socializing. RockMelt helps you share updates with your Facebook and Twitter pals and lets you know when they do likewise. It also stays on top of your favorite sites and alerts when new information is posted. Yawn.
Fly on AirTran Airways, Delta, or Virgin America from November 20 to January 2 and Google pays for your WiFi usage. All you can eat wi-fi-in-the-sky, woohoo!
Nintendo is celebrating Super Mario Bros' 25th anniversary with the release of a limited edition red Wii Console for $199.99. The system comes with 'Super Mario Bros. Wii' and 'Wii Sports.' A red DSi XL is also available with 'Mario Kart DS' for $179.99.
iPhone and some touch owners may have experienced a glitch in their clock app last weekend. Apple states that the devices did not recognize the end of Daylight Savings Time and suggests that users reset them until an update is issued later this month.
Activision claims that 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' hit a new record when it earned about $360 million in sales in North America and the UK in the first day. 'Modern Warfare' last year made a mere $310 mill.
The ailing Chrysler Corp. is counting on the popularity of 'Call of Duty' to help revitalize its brand with a limited edition Jeep. The mineral gray Rubicon has special tire rims, gas cap, tail lamp guards and graphics on the roof and front quarter panels, and a price around $30,000. Hopefully they'll earn enough to pay back the billions they borrowed from the US taxpayers.
Verizon Wireless is now carrying the Samsung Galaxy Tab in addition to T-Mobile. The price is the same $599.99 and data plans start at $20.00 per month. Sprint will also have it beginning November 14 at a price of $399.99 after rebate and 2 year plan.
The Wall Street Journal has one site for paying subscribers and has now added a separate ad-supported homepage layout for those who do not. Non-subscribers will notice that a small key icon will be located next to the articles for pay-as-you-read users.
The New York Times plans to run a bestseller list for e-books. Beginning early next year, the list will run separately from the paper version but will appear both online and in their newspaper.
It seems everybody these days is getting a Facebook page. The latest to sign on to the social networking scene is the Queen of England, who already has over 200,000 friends.
