Ten Cool Accessories for Your iPhone
So you bought an iPhone, and six months later, you STILL don't have a girlfriend? Maybe you don't have all the right equipment. Try on some of these sexy iPhone accessories see what happens...
- Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset for iPhone -- This headset automatically eliminates background noise and adjusts the speaker volume. The ear piece is curved to compliment your face and it is made out of medical grade plastic for maximum comfort. The headset is extremely light, weighing in at only an ounce and provides 5-6 hours of talk time and 120 hours on standby before the need to recharge. The Jawbone is sleek, stylish and cheaper than Apple's Bluetooth Headset. It has won the International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award and the prestigious iF Product Design Award.
- Apple iPhone Hands-Free Mount and Recharge Package -- Since you only get about 8 hours of talk time on a fully charged battery, having a car charger is a good idea, especially if you spend a lot of time on the road. This package comes with a mount to keep your phone secure and easily accessible while you're driving. The car charger comes with the appropriate attachment cables, guards your phone against harmful power surges, and detaches from the mount so you can charge your iPhone in other vehicles if necessary. The charger works in autos with ports delivering 12-24 DC volts.
- Ziplinq Retractable Sync data & Battery charge Cable for iPhone -- While the USB cable for charging and syncing data is included in the box with your phone, this accessory is great for travel. The cable retracts into the plastic housing compartment which prevents tangles and kinks so you will be able to charge or sync data from any computer. This way you don't have to remember to disconnect the standard cable from your computer every time you leave the house.
iPhone Skins -- An iPhone skin helps to protect your phone from scratches and other damage but a skin also serves to set your's apart from everyone else's. iStyles.com offers a wide array of skins, 261 different styles to be exact, to suit your taste. Skins are easy to apply, easy to remove and inexpensive enough to change designs on a whim. When you choose a skin from iStyles you also get a code to download the skin's matching wallpaper.- Silicon Screen Protector -- The silicon screen protector, also available from iStyles, is essential if you care about the condition of your phone over time and if you, like many, are prone to dropping and bumping your gadgets. The silicone screen protector is inexpensive at only $6.99USD and is of course removable.
- iCarta iPhone & iPod Speaker & Charger/Toilet Paper Holder -- This product is an odd marriage of a high tech gadget and toilet paper dispenser. The iCarta has four moisture proof speakers as well as a charger so you can take care of business while you're takin' care of business. The device can be mounted to the wall but can also be removed easily for portability. The toilet paper holder folds in if you decide you want to forgo the tissue paper function.
- iPhone Telescope -- The iPhone telescope enhances the power of the device's built in camera by 6x. The wide angle lens snaps on to the iPhone not only allowing you to directly view images from a greater distance but also taking better, clearer shots than the standard built in camera is capable of doing. For under $20 USD the iPhone telescope makes a pretty cool addition to your already styling iPhone.
iPhone Solar Powered Charger -- Everyone is jumping on the green bandwagon these days and our iPhones are no exception. But even if you aren't a tree hugger, the solar powered iPhone charger can be invaluable in emergencies or power outages. The internal battery of the charger stores power for up to six months, so you won't necessarily need a bright sunny day to charge your phone. The charger has a suction cup so you can attach it to a window at home or in the car and the internal battery can also be charged from a USB. LED lights let you know when the charger has stored maximum power. Then you just connect your iPhone and it charges in about the same time as an electric charger.- Unlocked iPhones and Jail Breaking Software -- Unlocking your iPhone can open up a whole new world of applications for your device but most importantly allows you to use the iPhone on other networks. A successfully unlocked phone can be used with other cellular providers-not just AT&T. This can be really useful for those of you who want an iPhone but are still locked into a contract or have a better plan with someone else. If you don't already have an iPhone you can purchase unlocked phones from S&B Electronics for a little more than the regular price. If you already have a phone, you can purchase and download unlocking software for about $55 USD from the same company.
- iPhone Engraving -- You can have a truly customized iPhone by having it 'tattooed'. Just about anything can be laser engraved onto your device, including photographs and original artwork. If you're thinking of giving an iPhone as a gift, having it first engraved would be an extra special and traditional touch to a modern, high tech gift.
