Several stories in the news recently have headlines warning about "terrifying hacks" of Ring video cameras. But I say they're bogus. All of the so-called "hacks" involve weak passwords, or customers re-using passwords that have been compromised in other breaches.

KrebsOnSecurity has been monitoring the activities of an international cybercrime network called "Evil Corp" that has stolen $100 million from businesses and
consumers. Here is Brian Krebs' inside look at the back-end operations of this criminal enterprise.

The FTC says users of the Unroll.me service, which promised to help people unsubscribe from unwanted emails, were lied to when the company promised they would never look at personal information customer emails. I warned about this obvious privacy hazard back in 2014.

FYI my Chrome browser does not seem to have any place to: "Right-click on the site's tab at the top of Chrome, then choose Mute Site." I actually use the Vivaldi browser nearly always, but I opened Chrome to make sure.....no dice.
Ctrl+shift+T does bring back the most recently closed tab on Vivaldi.

I looked at the article regarding Mr. Putin's use of Microsoft's old XP OS.That is not smart since he has access to Russian state secrets.

There is a Russian version of Linux available called Astra Linux that could easily replace XP.It's time he moved to this new OS that is obviously supported.
