Do you know much about Kall8? I know it isn't free, but I am using this service for my business, so I want to make sure that the number can continue without having to remember to send a fax every 7 days or 7 months. Also, having an 800 number or local number is important for our business. |

Good day all. Just an FYI to alert everyone that eFax is no longer free. I had a free eFax number since 2001 (775-201-0878) and was unceremoniously dumped about a month ago. Efax customer service claimed to have send out an email to notify me of this (via Matthew, eFax® Customer Support 05/20/15), an email I never received - though the end result would have been the same, I would have cancelled the account due to my very low incoming fax volume. EDITOR'S NOTE: Not sure what kind of account you had, but you CAN still get a free eFax account. The link is here: http://www.efax.com/efax-free/signup |

Hi Bob, Thanks for the info. I read both of your posts on fax via email and have done some independent research as well. My usage is VERY limited, may a few pages inbound and outbound every few months, but since it's for a small business, I want to have a permanent number to display on letterhead, etc. Since I'm only using a few pages monthly, I cannot justify paying even a few dollars a month. What service do you recommend that is: The best I can find is SRFax (https://www.srfax.com) that is $36/year, which is cheaper than the other paid ones, but also seems like the only one that offers ALL of my desired features. I've previously used MyFax (no longer free) and ClickToFax (also no longer free). And I hate that I'm wasting this much time on a fax service that I rarely use, but I refuse to pay for something so archaic simply because some companies I deal with are too lazy upgrade to the 21st century technology available to them. Thanks in advance! |
