After years of frustration using OEM and aftermarket inks I finally got an Epsom eco tank. No more poison ware updates that lock up the printer if even one cartridge was not OEM.
It even shows ink levels on the front so you know where you’re at.
Why oh why did this take so long?

For a number of years I have been using only Discount Cartridges for my Brother HL-L2302D laser printer from the Canadian supplier 123ink.ca with excellent results. Great service, great price.

With all due respect; I was once a fan of third party toner/inks. Then a toner cartridge from LD Products leaked magenta toner into the works of my HP LaserJet. It was irreparable. I couldn't get at all the areas where the toner blocked the laser path. I replaced the printer with a Brother HL-L8360CDW. Because I'm the kind of guy who doesn't condemn a firm for one mistake, I gave LD Products another chance. Now the inside of my Brother printer has toner smudges in many places. Fortunately, none of them prevents the printer from printing. I have reverted to buying my toner only from the OEM.

Some years ago I purchased ink from 123ink and after I inserted and used the cartridges I had to throw away my Kodak printer.

I've ben using LD ink cartridges for several years (perhaps nearly as long as they have been in business). I have not had any issues with their cartridges, and I have no complaints about print quality, or quantity. I too am a happy customer, and I have absolutely no affiliation with LD.

I've been using LDproducts cartridges for years. I also use them and Amazon for my HP Color Laser jet toners.

1 used to get my OEM cartridges refilled locally and that worked fine. Then I used cheap cartridges from Amazon which also worked well. Then my printer broke! So I bought an Epson Eco-tank printer to save changing cartridges.

Several times I've tried so-called "Remanufactured" ink jet cartridges. Seems that "Remanufactured" means nothing more than filling the cartridge with ink of dubious quality. All of them I've tried had at least 1 non-working nozzle. No more "Remanufactured" for me.

I think the refillable-tank style printer will be the future of printers. As Bob has said, one gets so much more ink in the bottles than by buying replacement OEM cartridges. The beauty of buying ink by the bottle is that the aftermarket cartridge suppliers are also now selling generic bottles of ink, in addition to the printer brand ink, for even less than the printer brand ink in a bottle. I doubt if the printer companies would be able to differentiate OEM ink from a bottle, and generic ink, as there are no chips to read and cause printer shutdowns.

BTW, if anyone is using a Brother label printer that uses the TZe tape cassettes, for household labeling, I have found that one can buy generic replacement cassettes, that, like the remanufactured ink jet printer cartridges sold over the internet, can be purchased through Amazon, and, except for the color of the plastic cassette, the quality is exactly the same as OEM cassettes sold by Brother. I do a lot of labeling around the house, and always print up a label wirh the purchase date and name of the retailer for bigger ticket items, like major electronics and appliances, and even storm doors and replacement windows. I've bought a 10-pack of TZe cartridges through Amazon for around $40.00, whereas Costco is selling a 4-pack of Brother cartridges for nearly the same price. And Costco's price beats those of big office supply stores, like Staples or Office Depot, which can sell a single cartridge for about $15.00, or more, just for a single cartridge.

Being horrified at the cost of "OEM" Epson cartridges for my WF-7710 printer, I started using LD cartridges...and they have been JUST FINE! The only problem I've ever had in over two years with this printer is the usual two or more "nasty reminders" that I'm not using genuine Epson ink. I view the messages, dismiss them, and continue on. I have never seen any difference in either quality or quantity of print. My wallet, though, has thanked me many times over! :)

Have used remanufactured cartridges for years in several different make/model printers without any problems. I purchased a new Epson printer a few months ago and upgraded the software at installation (big mistake). When I was done with the OEM ink I put in reman cartridge I received error message that it was not an OEM cartridge and printer refused to work. I was so mad that I purchased a Canon Megatank and haven't looked back since. I print a 6 page color newsletter every other week for seniors complex where I live and am only just having to refill for the first time after several months, Ya can't beat it.

I have used after market Canon cartridges from “Swift Ink” for years without any problems!

Unfortunately my 4th Canon, like the previous printers, died from lack of use. The ink in the print head dried out and couldn’t be cleaned. I replaced the Canon printer with a Xerox color laser printer. I am using after market laser “cartridges” in this unit now.

I have a Brother Laser B&W DCP printer that is used almost every day. I also use after market toner cartridges in this unit as well.

I have a question about “tank printers”. Is the “diaper” or the “print head” replaceable in these printers?

A diaper is the device that absorbs extra ink when doing a head cleaning operation.

I used to have an HP inkjet printer and was feeding it cartridges like a bad habit. When we finally went to a laser printer I took the old one apart and you know what I found? The bottom was completely filled with sponges and they were soaked with a king's ransom in ink!!! What a racket! We now have a Brother color laser and a Cannon blk/wht laser. No, the color is not as good as the HP but I don't have to re-mortgage my house either. No more HP products for me.

I had an older model Brother inkjet printer that I used the LD replacement cartridges for years. However, for the past 2 years the printer heads clogged up quite often. It became a minor chore that I had to put up with on a weekly basis Ultimately I blamed it on the age of the printer, so I replaced it with a new Brother tank printer

Similar story. I have used an ET2550 (Epson Tank) for several years. Warning: I failed to refill my black ink recently. I then
refilled it and despite several Customer Service calls to Epson, have not been able to get black ink to print. Their advice was to try a "Power Flush" after refilling that tank. I am hesitant about trying it. I would appreciate any feedback. Several local computer services do not fix printers.

After using refilled cartridges from a major office supply chain I found that the ink used in the refills was inferior. Pages of color images printed using the refills faded within a year yet the OEM printed pages kept bright for several years.

I quit using the refill services.

A few years ago I was using a Conon printer at the lower end of the price range. I went to the local computer retailer for replacement cartridges black and colour. As I was looking at the display of cartridges suitable for my printer, and muttering about the exorbitant price being asked, a salesperson stacking the shelves behind me came over and said not to buy the cartridges, but buy a new printer of the same model instead. He pointed out that the new printer cost $10 less than a black refill and I get the colours for free and a new printer.

I Australia we have same Warranty Rules about using third party cartridges as USA. I have an Epson printer/scanner/fax that is about 8 years old and I have used third part cartridges since first I needed to change them. I had a previous Epson printer that I used the cartridges in, so I knew they were very good. I my opinion the cartridges I get, give a better quality print than the OEM ones.
