Too Many Emails?

Does having too many emails in my inbox cause my computer to freeze up? |
That depends on what email software you use, but in general, the answer is no. I've had over 60,000 emails in my Outlook Express inbox, and it didn't seem to mind a bit. It will take longer to open your inbox with thousands of items in there, so I recommend that you get into the habit of moving items from the inbox into other folders, categorized either by subject or by date.
I have seen cases where an email program will fail to download new messages, because there are "too many" items already in the inbox. This happened with the Juno mailer, and the solution was to move some of the emails into a different folder.

Can having too many emails, in your inbox, cause your computer to "crash"?
EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, I've seen it happen. More likely it'll just cause your email program to freeze or crash.
