I've been using Vivaldi intermittently for a month or so now, and I pretty much like it. I don't see that it's all THAT different, but it seems faster than the bloatware that ate Firefox. |

I'm still waiting for some sign of support for RSS feeds. That's what I miss most from the old Opera. |

I'm a long-time Firefox user and will stay that way until one of the other browsers implements my make-or-break feature: the bookmark list running down the left side. I love Chrome's responsiveness, but the list is a couple of annoying clicks away. I must say, though, that even on my bleeding-edge desktop, the last few versions of Firefox have been slow. Anyone who can show me how to nail the bookmarks to the left margin in Chrome or Vivaldi will earn my eternal gratitude. I'll even buy you a Snickers. |

I don't know about this. Maybe I will give it a try; four seasons should be enuf for me to make up my mind. |

Any thoughts on how this will work on small tablets? Will there be a version for phones? I currently have a program that was written in HTML5 to work in chrome and safari (probably others, but not IE or FF). Our employees use it on some small, inexpensive tablets. It runs a little slower on them than my laptop. If Vivaldi works like chrome, it might run a little faster. |

I have tried almost every available browser in my attempt to find one that will successfully let me play Farmville |

Hi Bob. Is it true that Vivaldi doesn't sync features? I'm interested in using it but I really need to be able to have bookmarks synced across various computers. EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, that's true. Hopefully it's on the to-do list. |

I'll be watching closely. I am immensely interested in a replacement for Chrome which has always been and still is unstable. |

KRS, if you push F6 in Vivaldi, the bookmarks panel appears. Is this what you're looking for? |

I will be interested in the security record of Vivaldi after it has been around for a while. |

I just downloaded it and it's still at v1.2. |

Well - I did try Vivaldi. It took me awhile to even download the browser. For some reason, my Windows 10 didn't want to download the .exe file. I had stopped Windows Defender, since, I have Avast! & Malwarebytes. BAD Windows 10 - Even though I stopped Windows Defender, it seems as though Win 10 will reset back, by itself!!! I don't like that, at all. Major Bummer! :O( I finally downloaded the Vivaldi for 64 Bit computers. I was able to install Vivaldi. The interface was simple, I will admit - However, the developers talked about Bookmarks & there were already many bookmarks available. None of the bookmarks were my personal ones, nor did I care for Vivaldi's choices. I couldn't find a way to import my own bookmarks. It seems as though Bing is the default Search Engine. I prefer Duck, Duck Go. I tried to change it & I couldn't access the means or method of how to change a default to a preferred choice. I honestly feel Vivaldi is strictly for Geeks & I means major Geeks!!! I will try it again, in a few days. I want to give it a good trial. :O) |

NEVER DEPEND ON V1.0 ANYTHING!!!! Lesson learned over 50!!!!!(OMG) years of messing with computers (This is year 50,just did the math). Started with 360's in the mid 60's, old Heathkit build your owns, Apple II's, and 8088's. NEVER TRUST OR DEPEND ON V1.0's, EVER. **NEVER EVER**. BUT -- having said that, It'll be very interesting to see what comes out of this nifty little browser, I love Firefox, but then I love Mozilla too. So this may be(come?) a better, more stable platform that Mozilla. From Netscape through Mozilla, I've had ONE crash and I think that might have been MY fault, but I'll blame it on them since EVERY program crashes sometime. Maybe not on my machine but they do crash, just look at Mozilla, ONE crash in 25-30 years? Yet it will crash other computers every day. Go figure, it's all magic anyway. BEWARE V1.0's!!!!!!! |

By far the fastest browser I ever used |

I have used Maxthon Nitro as a backup browser. It is minimalist in design and has proven to be very fast and retains very small memory footprint. I am curious as to how Vivaldi compares with it. Despite its flaws, I am staying with Chrome because of the many productivity apps available. It is a memory hogger, though, when many tabs are opened at the same time. |

Mme Moxie--I use DuckDuckGo as my default, and I downloaded my bookmarks for Chrome with out a problem. I have Windows10 and it did not present a problem while downloading Vivaldi I have been using Vivaldi with UBlock Origin, LastPass, Evernote, and Keep since April. ST CHANNING--it appears ALL productivity apps usable in Chrome are available for use in Vivaldi |

If google has anything to do with it, I'm not interested. |

Ron Nurmi, thanks for the info. If all Chrome apps can be used on Vivaldi, then I am very inclined to switch. I will investigate next if Vivaldi uses less memory than Chrome when multiple tabs are open. |
