I had good and bad luck with discount cartridges, then decided I was in the wrong game altogether and replaced my inkjet printer with a Brother laser.

Yes, no colors, but hardly felt as a problem. I've recommended the Brother to friends and family, and all are happy with theirs.

FWIW, I've used discount cartridges for the laser without problem. Discounters seem to know what they're doing.

One factor that is difficult to compare is the volume of ink in genuine versus non-genuine cartridges (this information is often not readily available). There are probably other factors that affect how long each cartridge will last.

Laser is the way to go. If you don't print with your inkjet for a month, the cartridges dry out and need to be replaced.

I have always used discount cartridges & have had no problems. To me, buying branded cartridges is perpetuating the scam.

Hello. For my Canon PIXMA printer I've tried discount cartridges from several sources, and have not been satisfied with any of them.

I just recently bought an Epson ET-2850 tank printer, as you mentioned. So far, so good. I think this printer is a much better solution for the cost of buying ink.

I had the exact same problem with HP and use the exact same printer. HP made a software update but disengaged my print head. I saw a HP salesman in Staples and told him about this and he confirmed it as true. I had to buy a new printer. Discussed.

Generally had good luck with compatible ink cartridges. But I did find when printing photographs that the photos printed with the genuine OEM cartridges were a little sharper and slightly better color.

Unless you really, really, really need color printouts, get a laser printer (with auto duplex). I have a Brother HL-5470DW and for the printing I do, it's great. I can do auto duplex and save paper. Granted, I don't print unless I really need to.

I, like you, have used LD cartridges for many years in my Brother printer. They are excellent. I have never had a problem with one of their cartridges. I did however have a problem with Brother who put up a message that the cartridge I was using was not compatible in some way. As with you LD promptly replaced the affected cartridges and all was again right with the world

I have been using replacement cartridges for a long time and I feel that the EZ ink is the best out of the few I have tried. I used to have an HP printer. It was high quality and had several functions that I liked. I No longer use HP printers because they do not allow me to use replacement cartridges. I now only buy Canon printers which do not last as long as HP printers but I still save if I have to buy a new printer. I have never had a problem with nonbrand name cartridges in my Canon printers.

I have been using Toner Refill Kits since 2006. Went from HP printers and now have a Brother printer. Their products have been absolutely perfect with no problems whatsoever. Yes, I've only used replacement toner and (2) drums over the years (no ink) and highly recommend this company. And like Bob, no incentives from them. Just a satisfied customer.

I have used Inksell.com for more than 10 yrs. I have always been more than satisfied. I turned OFF my Epson updates, and have no problem with my printer accepting my ink cartridges.

After looking at LP & 123 they look like they are the same as their wed sites are strikingly similar.

After years of failed experiments with off brand ink jet cartridges, I have given up. At least I get consistent results and no printer refusal to accept them.I have tried many brands. To me the convenience of functioning cartridges far outweighs the extra expense. Tired of throwing away full cartridges and mediocre to poor performance on the ones that do occasionally work.

I have been using LD ink products (Epson) for years and am 100% happy with them. I have saved SO much money. I agree with you, Bob, that they are the same quality as name brands and produce same amount of printed pages. I recommend them to everyone.

It is like anyone paying a premium for an Apple product when alternatives exist for significantly less money. I have avoided the name brand ripoffs for many years and never felt I had received lesser quality. The sucker is the one who forks over extra money for no good reason.

I have been using a Canon MG7100 series printer for just over 9 years. It uses six ink cartridges. I use ONLY EZINK cartridges and am extremely pleased. I can buy six full sets of cartridges in one box for a price that’s less than a third of ONE set of cartridges from Canon.

Terrific color and longevity.

Five stars.

In 2012 I bought a imageCLASS D420 Refurbished Laser AIO.
The Canon toners are $72 at Amazon. I have always used aftermarket toners.
I recently bought 2 Valuetoner Compatible Toner Cartridge for $21 at Amazon
The AIO printer works perfectly 11 years later
The only downside is it is BW only

Bob, you forgot 1 other source.
I find great deals on OEM cartridges on EBay
from individuals.
My 2 criteria: I want sealed boxes and an expiration date before I purchase.
