Since on 7-20-2011 your article claimed IE8 and 9 to be the most secure by a wide margin, I'd say anyone using Firefox, Chrome, or any other would have to be looked upon as "dumb". |

I do so love these pseudo scientific reports ... especially when they claim "scientific proof". |

Have to wonder how much Aptiquant was paid for this nonsense and which groups paid it. I wouldnt put it past google. |

The thing about intelligence and Firefox is something like this: Since Firefox5.0 popped out it is an intelligence test every time you try to open a website. Nothing works the way it used to. Just to prove that I am not as intelligent as an IE user, though, I am toughing it out with Firefox. My logic for that is pure vanity -- I don't want people to think I am dumber than I actually am, so I wear a cowboy hat and use Firefox. Everybody thinks I am a genius! |

I find it dumb to imply that someone who uses the internet to gain Knowledge is dumb. That's dumb |

Or ... The more intelligent are better able to cope with the vagaries of new browser variants. Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD. |

Heck NO!!! These types of 'psycho-babble' reports, usually have statistics that are 'skewed' to 'fit the results' of what the team is looking for. Bottom line, medicine knows approximately 5% of what the brain, is capable of. In all honesty, Psychiatrists & Psychologists know even less. Doubt my statement? Then please, explain to me why so many Mental Health professionals have found more mental diseases & issues, but, very few cures. They really know nothing, about the brain, it's chemistry or how to solve most of these diseases & issues. Another point. Just how many people are really aware, that Psychologists do NOT have any medical training? They don't go to Medical School, they only take Psychology classes. Psychiatrists go to Medical School for 4 years, then take Psychology courses. They at least, have a medical background & know anatomy & physiology. To make a broad statement, that IE users are as stupid as smokers, is also, ludicrous!!! Just because you use or do something, has absolutely nothing to do, with intelligence!!! They might as well have said, that IE users are just as stupid, as alcoholics. Addiction is addiction, plain & simple. It has nothing to do with intelligence! While, I have moved on to Firefox, it is not that I am more intelligent than when I used IE. I simply, prefer using Firefox. It took me quite awhile, to switch, in fact. However, I don't regret any of my years using IE. Basically, IE paved the way for me, to learn how to 'surf the Web', safely & intelligently. |

What a hoot! The only thing funnier than the reported results, is that people actually spend time and money "researching" such diatribe. Which brings up the question of "research" which it is not by any stretch of the imagination. No subject population controls except for opportunistic annoymous self-report. Faulty claim that some conveniently selected sub-set of the Wechsler measurement items is capable of rendering an accurate IQ within the acceptable 15+ or 15- standard deviation range, or that diverse national populations of English speakers can be accurately compared. I regularly correspond with a number of Aussie and Brit mates who use much the same printed language, but we often must "define our terms", and they have just as much trouble with this Yankee-English speaking mate. |

"From the test results, it is a clear indication that individuals on the lower side of the IQ scale tend to resist a change/upgrade of their browsers."
I guess I wish Aptiquant had instead asked whether respondents were Yankees or Red Sox fans. Now THAT would have been interesting! ;) |

Since most all my applications for work require internet explorer to work properly, I guess I'm doomed to look stupid! |
