I use Opera and have been since probably the tail end of their 'banner-ad' time. I use it as my default browser, but not all sites work with it. I love the ad-blocking it allows without having to install any extension/add-on. Just right-click, select Block Content, then click on the ads. It doesn't block every single ad, but it keeps the annoying ones at bay. I don't mind the images, but all the screen blocking and pop-ups go away with it. And as you revisit sites you've blocked, you see very little in the way of annoyances in the ways of ads. |

I've been using Opera since the days of when it had the banner ads. Most of the add-ons that I use with other browsers are to provide features that are already in Opera. The biggest problem in using Opera are the sites that program features for specific browsers and do not include Opera. Over the years there have also been methods of writing HTML and javascript that are non-standard that Opera didn't handle, but most of those have disappeared. I've also seen problems in printing some web pages that work in other browsers. |

Bob: I am definitely an OPERA fan! It is the origin of tabbed browsers. I bought my first copy of Opera back in the day. It is still the best 265 Norwegian Kroner I've ever spent! Mike |

I use Opera 10 on a windows 6.5 (simi) smart phone. My complant is the lack of flash that will work with this setup. Any suggestions? |

Agreed, Prof Bob,opera rocks |

I used Opera, until Chrome came along. FireFox keeps saying "know your rights". Microsoft kept making Ie worse and worse with junk features that cannot be turned off, such as suggested sites. Google Chrome does none of that. |

I have been a fan of Opera since 1994. Often I have left a bit to follow the herd to a new browser or other toys, like Firefox or Chrome, but I inevitably come back to the Opera. I smile every time I hear someone whining about THEIR browser, or watch them jump through hoops to do what I can do simply inside Opera. Stormer |

I tried Opera when Firefox started crashing massively. I now use Opera as my primary browser. I find it quick, and capable of dealing with large numbers of open tabs. |

I have been using Opera for about 3 years now. At least for me, it provides speed with ease of use. Opera provides many extensions so each user can customize their browser to their needs. |

I love Opera. I tried it because I had links that wouldn't work in IE8 no matter what I did to try and fix it. With Opera they all work always! |

Tried Opera for a week but it lacked the ability to allow my complete apps to run. Installed SlimBrowser and it allows everything and more to run even of my original Win 7 and IE8. |

As always a very good review of Opera. I have been using Opera for over a year & can tell you that it takes getting use to. But when I go back to IE or K-Meleon I feel limited in speed & what I can do. Bottom line is I enjoy Opera & its speed. Much better than Chrome, Firefox, & Safari. |

Do I have to uninstall IE to install and use the Opera web browser? EDITOR'S NOTE: No, you can have multiple browsers. |

While I use Pale Moon on my desktop, I use Opera on my ASUS eee netbook because of Opera's turbo function. I've found the other browsers to be way too slow. |

I am going to give this a try. Both the windows and USB version. Fast is good and what you say makes sense to me. |

Been using Opera several years-Love It! Doesn't crash like IE or later Firefox. Loads fast & seems reliable. Like Speed dial feature. |
