I still love Firefox and I agree with the above users who said that Chrome is a memory hog. I dislike IE because after all, it is a MicroSoft product. |

I dumped Firefox for Chrome when Brendan Eich, who co-founded Mozilla was forced out of the company because of his personal beliefs. |

Hi Bob.I started using Firefox again very recently and find the new version is fantastic. Certainly an improvement on the previous one. Your recent article on IE vulnerabilities opened my eyes and i switched from IE to Firefox and Chrome. i Have found that even Chrome seems to have improved. |

I am using all three. |

My experience mirrors many others mentioned. I switched from FF to Chrome after being a devotee for about a decade because after an update it became sluggish & unresponsive & was a memory hog. I'd been reluctant to switch to Chrome because FF had so many extensions I'd come to depend on; I was able to find identical or similar extensions for Chrome (even my beloved NoScript!). The clincher for me was when I discovered I could login to Chrome from ANY computer and all of my settings & customizations were there! I never found an elegant or easy way to do that with FF and if they added (unless they already have) that capability & improved speed & use of resources, I'd be happy to renounce Chrome (sometimes anyway). |

I still use Firefox. It is the best although they are trying to ruin it -making it look like Chrome. I started out with Firefox because I liked the look of it -the interface. Also because of the many extensions & add-ons. You can customize it -and make it look the way you want. I dont like Chrome. It is too big & bloated. IE has improved with the later versions. It still has to be used for some websites. However I think that Opera is the 2nd best browser. And I also use Avant browser just for my gmail. |

I have been around long enough to have started on the 'net with Netscape Navigator (it was free and IE wasn't). I have at times used IE, tried Chrome, Safari and a dozen others I can't recall on the spot. I now use FF on all my computers, with Pale Moon as an option and IE for MS websites. |

I still use FF on my desktop and laptop. When I had an android phone I also used FF.Now with a windows phone FF is unavailable, I would use it if I could. |

Firefox is all I use at home or recently on mobile. Anything to stem Google Chrome onslaught. |

I have use FF for years, but recently it has been really messed up on my computer. One day when I turned my computer on all the fonts looked like they were typed on an old typewriter with a worn out ribbon. I tried to enlarge the font so that I could see it better but other things started not looking right too; icons changed into boxes with letters, many sites I would go to, to pay bills would not display correctly and I was not able to complete my task, and to watch any video on it was horribly broken up or the player would crash repeatedly. I finally gave up and downloaded Chrome. It plays the videos correctly, the sites display properly, etc. I still keep FF on the computer because Chrome doesn't like to play the word game I enjoy without bogging down. Not sure if FF will fix the problems but if they do I'll go back to using them. |

I dumped IE, years ago and began using FF. I was faithful to FF, until the Brendan Eich incident. I was highly upset, that FF became political, when a browser has absolutely nothing to do with politics. What FF did was wrong, wrong and more wrong. I started to use Chrome, before the Brendan Eich issue and afterwards have been using Chrome, ever since. Even though I have Chrome, as my default browser, I find that I still have a lot of IE Temporary Files. I suspect the reason why, is that I use MS Office Outlook, for my email. I must agree though, that Chrome is beginning to get slower and I have had more troubles, trying to get onto websites. I think, Chrome is becoming as bloated as IE and FF. Just my thoughts, on the subject. |

FF has been my default for some time but I am having problems with it not loading URL pages from text. Constant pop-ups are a pain. Chrome will not arrange bookmarks alphabetically like FF does and I miss the top tool bar on Chrome. So, I switched from FF to Chrome for smoother operations. IE is still available, but security is still a concern there. Perhaps I have not properly set some features so that any one will run smoothly. |

Hi Bob: It's a shame that Mozilla's "SeaMonkey" rarely gets mentioned! It is the "all-in-one internet application suite" based on the original Mozilla and Netscape browsers. SeaMonkey is under constant development by a separate Mozilla Foundation team - utilizing much of the latest Firefox code improvements. It is an integrated browser, email client, and nifty WysiWyg HTML editor (Composer) all rolled into a neat package. I love SeaMonkey and have been using it almost exclusively for years. Most of the current Firefox Add-Ons work perfectly with SeaMonkey and I highly recommend this Mozilla backed product for performance, convenience, and ease of use. It can be downloaded from Mozilla's web site here: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/ |

U went from Netscape to Firefox. I've always hated IE but it's there. Recently it got highjacked by Vosteran PUPs. I got rid of those by uninstalling Advanced System Care. I left ASC off for a few weeks and then re-installed to clean up my computer and Vosteran is back but hasn't yet high-jacked the browser again. I used to have Chrome as a backup but it seemed to be installing crap on my computer and I hate the insinuating nuisance that is Google. I prefer DuckDuckGo for my search engine. Don't take away my Firefox. And you forgot to mention in your article that IE beat out Netscape in market share by starting to provide it free with its browser while Netscape charged. |

I would switch from FF to Chrome in an instant, except for one problem. Chrome shows just the first few bookmarks across the top. To got the FF scheme down the left, I have to click on the horizontal bars at the top right and then on Bookmarks and then on any subdirectory. This list disappears as soon as I click on a link, so I have to go through the whole rigamarole again for each site. For me, that's a killer defect. I've asked in many places, but each time I've been told that there's no way to fix it. |

I also started out on the internet using Netscape and graduated to FireFox because of the add ons it offered like Noscript and Adblock+, I also have it set to block popups. I've used IE and didn't like it because I kept getting commercials and I dislike that very much. If I want adds I'll watch TV for that. FireFox and Chrome are the two I use the most although Chrome doesn't have the add ons that FireFox does. I also like the look and feel of FF better than the rest. |

Brendan Eich was NOT forced out by Mozilla but rather he stepped down himself as his way of helping Mozilla dues to the intense hatred that was being directed towards him and Mozilla. He was the one that co founded Mozilla so Mozilla was not about to force him out as many incorrectly assumes. Unfortunately his decision to step down then had people who supported Brendan then thinking Mozilla forced him out. Mozilla knew about the prop8 donation as it was public due to California law when they promoted him from CTO to CEO and then hatred started. |

Does FF make a browser for the iPad? I haven't found one in iTunes. |

I have to use IE for some sites and have no quarrel with it. Chrome had become my main browser but I went back to Firefox when Chrome became painfully slow to load and unreliable. I'll stick with Firefox which is quick and reliable. |
