For all those looking to make a switch from Firefox, try Pale Moon.
It has a similar feel as Firefox, uses many of their extensions and addons, is fast, stable and does the job well.

Loved Netscape
Hated I.E.
found Firefox had great add ons so got real used to it
Chrome pissed me off with its sneaking in as my browser from Acrobat so I deleted it. Got it back with a use computer but don't like the feel at all.

Still prefer Firefox even with its problems with U Tube audios playing even after you shut down the window.

Firefox gives me buttons in the menu for one-click zooming in and out. The About button in Help does not force an update, as it does in Chrome. Firefox does not exit when I close all tabs; it keeps a blank New Tab window. Firefox does not clutter the initial display with stupid thumbnails of pages I've visited in the past.
Firefox is for grownups.
(I do wish I could get Brightcove videos to display, though.)
Google and Microsoft are too big. It's time to break them into smaller companies.

FF has been my browser of choice for many years, but I have recently experienced a sharp increase in tab crashes and memory leaks which render it almost unusable. The crashes seem to happen when I walk away from the PC for a few hours. I often have 35 tabs open while doing research, but at some point the memory used reaches 3-4 GB (on a 16 GB machine) and FF just stalls out.

FF is also the default at the school for which I serve on the IT team. FF is the only browser which works with our specific admin programs and educational support web sites and our home-rolled cloud services. Yet we may move to Chrome in the near future because FF has seemed unstable on some of our 300+ computers. The frequent update cycle is hard to keep up with as well, since we limit our users' ability to install programs and updates on their own.

I will be sad to see FF go. I am familiar with it and like it, and prefer its security features over the competitors, but it doesn't seem to be making the grade performance-wise any more.

Firefox has been my prime browser for several years. However, a few months ago being fed up with FF's slow load time, I searched for alternatives and found a FF fork named Pale Moon. Looks just like FF. I like Pale Moon for the speed, however, Pale Moon lacks the addons that FF has available. But some of the FF addons do work within Pale Moon.

I know I should no longer be using XP, but I have no choice in that. I've upgraded where possible, but that's life.

This is a minor thing, but I hate Chrome's nag bar telling me they're no longer supporting updates. Tell me once, tell me again should I forget and try to update, but quit nagging me every time I use it. I just installed FF, and made it my preferred browser, simply to avoid being nagged.

I use Firefox as my browser and have for a long time with only an occasional problem.

I tried using Chrome, but did not like the interface. In Firefox, the Bookmarks Toolbar is invaluable to me. My oft-visited websites are always visible, and just one click away. And I like having the Menu Bar visible. Wish I knew how to do that in Chrome.

I had a horrible time with Chrome and Edge on my laptop. Slow, rural internet, older laptop. You'd click a link, go feed the cat. Come back and wait another minute.

Firefox and Thunderbird are wonderful. I really love Thunderbird.

They are both fast and reliable in a slow situation.

So far, the update seems fine. Not geeky enough to notice a lot. 😄

We use Chrome for Netflix and Firefox for almost everything else. The only exceptions are when I have to use IE for the occasional uncooperative website that won't speak to anything but IE. I keep Firefox updated (thanks, Secunia!) and it improves with every update; I don't think the "unresponsive script" notice has appeared at all since the last update. So - count me as a happy Firefox user who plans to continue to use Firefox as long as it is available . . . .

I'm a browser whore, I use waterfox (64 bit version of firefox) chrome and vivaldi. For some sites I like one over another.

I still think Firefox is great and probably will continue to use it as long as it exists and meets my needs. I'll pay the price someday, I suppose, if it goes out of existence, but right now, I don't want to go through the learning curve of setting up a new browser. I have Firefox working exactly the way that I want it to work. Buggy whips be damned.

I've been using FireFox ever since I can remember - I think since about 2004. I used Netscape Navigator before that. I've tried Opera, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Edge, and a couple others but I always come back to FireFox because, in my opinion, it's the best. It's more user friendly, more extensible, it has a more helpful (overall) user community, and it is, IMO superior.

I've been using Mozilla's Seamonkey since the demise of Netscape. This all-in-one program combines Firefox and Thunderbird into one interface. The only downside is that recently updates have been very slow in arriving, trailing well behind Firefox releases.

I have used Netscape, IE, Firefox, Chrome & Opera, pretty much in that order (I also have Dolphin, Axis, Perfect Web and Safari on my iPhone. 0 When Firefox came along I stayed relatively faithful, but when Chrome's usability, options and stability exceeded Firefox I switched over and haven't regretted it. I use Chrome for the same reason I use Windows, more individual choices and stability and fast enough for my uses. I find it hard to get into the anti-MS, Google, Apple hysteria, they all have their place and there are plenty of niche market alternatives for the fanatics. I keep an updated copy of Edge, Opera and Firefox on my PC, but I rarely use any of them unless some link is proprietary to one or the other or in the rare occasions when Chrome doesn't render the page correctly which happens less and less often and when it does usually signals a need to clear history.

I have used Firefox for years, and will keep on using it. I don't understand why Chrome is so popular. The home page always opens slowly, and there is no search window, and the download manager is not very good!

I have been using Firefox for years, and will continue to do so as long as I can, as my browser of choice. I find it reliable and have experienced far fewer problems than with Chrome, which I also use regularly for a couple of applications. I keep IE installed just in case a website doesn't work without it, but haven't used it in many months.

Google is too much into prying and spying to make me totally comfortable with Chrome as my main browser.

I shed no tears for Firefox. Several months ago the pages (especially those with graphics) took forever to load. Meanwhile I could see various statistics being gathered just above the taskbar, including some linked to adware. IMO they joined up with Google in a thinly veiled attempt at spying.

Chrome crashed on me twice; the second time taking all my bookmarks, passwords etc. with it. All I got was a white screen. It will no longer load on my PC, so it too is crossed off my list. I have been using Opera and am very pleased with it. So long, Firefox.

I'm from the school that believes you should always use more than one browser. So even though Chrome is my default for doing email and other Googly functions, I generally always have Firefox open for my general web searches/research and occasionally I use Edge when websites aren't playing nicely with the other two. Hopefully, other users will realize that there's no need to choose just one browser: use them all based upon their relative strengths.
