Hey, I'm having problems with the player and I've been trying to search for the answer but I can't find it.

Myspace player shows the music is playing but it isn't, and the same thing happens with you tube's videos that i put on myspace. (All other audio works such as ituens, wmp, etc...)

I have a diffrent problem, my songs are wpl, and mp3 can they be added to myspace group music anyway? I guess is not accepted I realize it has to be wav music but I have not idea how to make it wav, or any other way so it can be heard.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The MP3 format should work fine. WPL will not, because that's just a playlist, not a music file. You can convert an MP3 to WAV format -- search for that phrase and you'll find plenty of converters.

I allready launched my second Band profile, configured everything and uploaded a song, but the player isn't there. On my first profile the player worked right. I've checked everything, reuploaded... I can't find the cause.

EDITOR'S NOTE: I haven't created a Band profile, so I don't know how they work. Anyone else have a suggestion?

I got a song uploaded but it seems to be hanging when connecting the server. Same problem with a friends website, only his 1st song plays but not the 2nd one uploaded. Anyone know why!

EDITOR'S NOTE: My guess is that you did nothing wrong. Sometimes the Myspace servers cannot keep up with the demand, and stuff like this happens. If it still doesn't work in a day or so, try up loading again.

For some reason I cannot see my myspace player or anyone elses myspace player for that matter. It suddenly disappeared. My songs are definitely there and other people can see it but when I go to any myspace page there are always 1 or 2 items remaining that never open. Anyone know how this can be remedied? Thanks fr your help.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Probably a Flash problem. Remove and re-install the Macromedia Flash player, that may solve the problem.

For some reason I cannot delete songs from my profile. I have a music profile, not just a normal myspace. Three of the songs will delete but the fourth just gives me an error message at the bottom of the IE window that says "Error on page." Any ideas?

EDITOR'S NOTE: My only suggestion is to try again later, sorry.

I have my own songs on a myspace band site - http://www.myspace.com/loveintheasylum I have 2 questions: how come I when I click on the 'rank' 'comment' and 'lyrics' part of my songs on the music player, nothing happens - the only link that works is the download.

And is there anyway to see which songs have been downloaded - all i can see are the numbers which give a daily total of downloads from the player/site. Thanks for any help you can give me.

EDITOR'S HELP: I could view the Lyrics for one of your songs. But when I press Rate or Comment, I get "Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred. This error has been forwarded to MySpace's technical group." All too common on Myspace...

I am also having an issue with the myspace music player. i recently uploaded a new song and even though it shows up in the player, it stays at the "connecting" phase indefinitely - and not just on my computer, but everyone else's. here's the catch though, all of the other songs that were previously uploaded stream instantly when clicked on.

i have re-uploaded the song twice with different versions. it has been more than 24 hours and it still refuses to play...

EDITOR'S NOTE: I've heard from a lot of people with this same problem. The best I can offer is wait... upload again... and wait...

We are having problems deleting a track on our profile for myspace which simply won't play. In fact, the last upload would not play either. It is odd that we cannot remove the item. Any advice?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Myspace appears to be having MAJOR problems lately with music uploads. I think the only thing you can do it wait, and tell them about the problem.

I am having the same problems uploading new tracks to my band's profile - it just hangs on "Connecting". I've tried using different software to generate the MP3, re-uploading, waiting 24 hours etc but to no avial.

It is particularly annoying if you have deleted songs to make way for new ones, thus leaving with only 1 or 2 (or no) songs to play! So just to warn people to wait for this problem to be fixed by MySpace before they delete any more songs.

With regard to music tracks not playing in myspace: I noticed recently that any track that I uploaded and chose to make it available for others to download WOULD play. On the other hand, any track I made unavailable for download would not play. So, if anyone is having a similar problem, make sure the option to download the track is “on” in order for your track to play. Hopefully myspace will fix this soon.

I too am having the problem where I uploaded a new song and the player just hangs saying "connecting..." It's been around 5 days(and several re-uploads) with no success getting it to play. (I haven't tried allowing the ability to download the song, but I'm not necessarily looking to give the song away for free.)

Hi Rob, I just created a myspace page a few days ago and just stumbled onto your site this evening, lots of good info here, THANKS!

I have a question: I was trying to put some music on myspace but was not using the sites available for music because they don't have the song I wanted. I uploaded a song to a site that I use for hosting and used your code for adding the player and linked to the site where the song is hosted, but it doesn't play at all. Am I doing something wrong, or does myspace not allow this to be done?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, it should work. Make sure you pay attention to all the little brackets and quote marks. Try again...

I recently started a myspace band account and have a major problem...no one can look me up when they perform a search! I've had many people tell me that they searched for my band and it always comes back as "no match found". What can I do to fix this problem?

EDITOR'S NOTE: I think it can take a while (days? weeks?) for the Myspace search engine to index a new site...

This is an interesting problem. Ive noticed that Ill add songs to my profile... then when I go to view my profile it looks like it tries to play it 3 times and then says "error downloading music." The funny thing, it plays just fine on their home site... Why is it doing that? Its happened with several songs now... the latest... "The Promise" by Tracy Chapman.

Well, I am not sure if I typed in the code properly. What does "example" mean? And what does "sample" mean? Is "example" the site where my download is? And is "sample" the actual name of my mp3 song that I uploaded from my computer. I'm not sure where I "PLUG IN" the URL (is that the website where my uploaded file is?) I have tried to edit my profile using the code dozens of times with no success. I have a geocities account and successfully uploaded my song..... but it is just not working on my myspace page.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, yes, and yes!

Hi Bob -- I just came across your page, thanks so much for putting it together..I never realised Myspace was so flawed, getting songs to play has been a nightmare for almost a month now. people visit, get frustrated, dont come back..Can anything be done or are we just waiting on them to fix it? Do they have some sort of ranking system, where major artists are afforded more bandwidth? Seem to have more luck with the bigger bands...

EDITOR'S NOTE: Wait is all we can do...
