Forgot Myspace Password
"Help, I forgot the password for my Myspace account! Now I can't login and people think I'm dissing them because I can't reply to their comments. How do I get the password, or have it reset so I can login?"

Lost Your Myspace Password?
If you have lost or forgotten the password to your Myspace account, you can send a password retrieval request to Myspace. Just enter the email address associated with the account, and Myspace will send your password to that address.
But what if you forgot the email address too?
Salute This!
If you don't have the account password or access to the email address associated with the account, there IS another way to prove that you are the rightful owner of the account. A salute is a photo of yourself holding a handwritten sign with the word "MySpace.com" and your FriendID on it. You can find your Friend ID number after "friendID=" in the web address when viewing your profile.After taking the salute photo, you will need to upload that photo to the Web. You cannot post your salute in a public place, so if you don't have your own website, I recommend that you open a free account at Geocities and upload it there.
Next, contact Myspace via this form, provide the web address (URL) of the Salute photo, and the web address of the Myspace profile you cannot access. Explain the situation, cross your fingers and howl at the full moon. With a bit of luck your Myspace password will be sent to your email inbox.
If you read the comments below, you'll see that this process DOES WORK for some people. If you don't get a reply after several days, send your salute again... and keep trying!

I forgot my password, but I do know my email I signed up with. When I request for my password to be sent to my email, it never does. I sent a salute a month ago but haven't heard anything. EDITOR'S NOTE: Persistence seems to be the key... |

I can get into Myspace accounts. I require either a Name, Friend ID, E-mail address, or link to the profile in order to get the password. For rates and information, contact me at [deleted]@yahoo.com. EDITOR'S NOTE: I published this entry (after obscuring the email address) because it exposes a scam. Don't believe people who claim to be able to get your password. They will take your money and disappear. |

i cant get into my old myspace account but the thing is thats not a real aol email account i just made up that one when i had signed up for myspace so basically that email was just made for my myspace account since i went to i forgot my password i cant fix my issue because its not a real email account it i made that just for my myspace page now i have no account to that email to see what my password maybe and i forgot what my password is can you please help me find a way to get my old myspace password back so i can sign back on? i made a myspace behind my moms back 2 years ago there for i didnt have a pic of me as the defult picture ..it is a picture of my cousin dean at football..i tryed asking myspace if i could have the password..i told them the email and the info about the account from what i rememberd. they said unless i have a pic i cant get it...is there anything i can do? Hey, I've just read and reread your article. I was wondering if there's some other way to retrieve my password. Do you know if any other ways? I am asking because I've been trying to retrieve my password for a year now. My account was hacked into and the hacker changed my password so I cannot access my own profile. I've sent well over 100 requests for password retrieval and even tried saluting 2 or 3 times. Each time I try the email never shows up despite my using my sign up email (I only have one email address and know my email password by heart) and they keep saying the salute isn't clear enough despite it being perfectly clear (I have trouble seeing and even I can see the picture, names, addresses and numbers crystal clear). I'm genuinely frustrated! I don't mind switching to facebook and abandoning the myspace account but it has a lot of old unique photos that mean a lot to me, I just want to retrieve my photos. Can you be of any assistance or am I beating a dead horse? EDITOR'S NOTE: If I knew another way, I would mention it here! The Myspace password retrieval process has always been flawed, and I don't see that changing. |
