Free Satellite TV on PC? - Comments Page 20

No, it's Direct Stream and for my $45, I've seen 3 New England Patriots games that weren't televised in my area (Texas). Then last weekend, watched Pacquiao/Margarito (free) and tonight watched the WWE Survivor Series (free). It works great and later this week when I buy my laptop, I'll hook it to my 67 inch Samsung and watch any NFL game and/or pay for view that I want in the comfort of my living room. Great deal for $45. IT WORKS. |

Bob, You are to be highly commended for your work to enlighten people to the truth of "free satellite TV on PC". I've enjoyed reading your responses to the comments. They are level-headed, mature, thoughtful, and even humorous. And your patience in responding to the scammers who post is incredible. As I see it, there are four kinds of people who are posting comments to this article. 1. Those who wish to make sound decisions based on carefully acquired evidence. 2. Those who, despite the evidence given, want to believe so badly that they become a scammers dream. 3. Those who have been unfortunate enough to be duped by scammers. These people should not feel 'stupid' about having been scammed. Most scammers are intelligent, very cunning, and are expert liars. 4. Far less intelligent scammers who continue to have expose their stupidity by posting their 'testimonials', and attempting to post their links here. Scammers prey on the frailty of the human mind when it comes to making decisions. They manipulate one's rational thought processes and beliefs. A required course in the schools should be a study of the psychology of belief to give young people a stronger foothold against the scammers they will likely encounter in their adulthood. |

With further checking, I found that it is Stream Direct. I apologize for any misinformation. Now someone tell me where I could have used a search engine to find and watch the Pacquiao/Margarito pay for view fight? Must not be Google or Bing. I was able to find written results as a round ended but not the fight as it was being televised. Nevertheless, I am quite happy. I just connected to my big screen tonight and I'll be watching all of the upcoming fights and sports not in my televised area. I am watching Miami/Detroit as I write this. It is available in my area, IF I WANT TO PAY FOR IT. |

Bob Rankin and his followers (actually, I am one): I am not affiliated with StreamDirect or any of the TV to PC websites they often use. If you are a sports fan, as I, you cannot beat this site. Otherwise, I don't see any value in it. As I said earlier, I get to see very few Patriots games here in Texas. I watched them vs. the Buffalo Bills last Sunday and will watch them play Miami this Sunday. That's 5 Patriots games and the pay for view fight of the year that I've seen for $45. It is an outstanding value for me. If not a sports fan, I certainly wouldn't recommend this site. These games are streamed from Sweden, London and Germany thus far. I am anticipating watching all 2011 Red Sox games from some of these venues. This alone is a $210 savings. I saved $65 on the fight plus my Patriot games. While I have been able to transfer the games to my Samsung TV, I have found that I prefer watching on my laptop while something else is on TV. |

Could someone please make this procedure of receiving free sat tv channels simple and easy for us tech illiterates? Also, how does one connect their pc to their tv?? EDITOR'S NOTE: The simplest way is to just Google the show or content you want to watch. As for your second question, see http://askbobrankin.com/tv_as_computer_monitor.html |

Your are simply wrong, we offer Free Network TV at http://www.theteleportal.com -- the largest network feed aggregator online. We feature premium channels without software. EDITOR'S NOTE: It seems you're agreeing with me. The software is a scam, because you can find many free TV streams on the web. Of course many of them are pirated, but that's another issue. |

DISH Network is the leader for giving customers what they want. I know this I am a consumer as well as employee of DISH. First off DISH has the cheapest package in the industry. I can maximize my dollar there, because DISH with the Sling Media hooked up allows me to get my programming on a Smartphone and laptop where ever I may be. DISH can beat Direct TV's pack price from $5 to almost $20 now that some savings. DISH has the most HD channels you can get and there free for life. Go to www.dish.com for more info. |

(I don't work for any satellite company, fyi) I shopped around a lot before I chose my satellite service. I compared Dish, DirecTV, FTA and even explored "Satellite for PC." Why? Because FTA didn't have football. Being a Packers fan, I needed to watch my team this year hammer it out because I knew something was going to happen. Dish Network only had the RedZone Channel. So after looking at DirecTV, I discovered they had a NFL Sunday Ticket promotional deal that I took up (not gonna say how much I spent). I got to watch my Packers, the wife got to watch her 49'ers, and we got to see the Raiders and the Vikings NOT make it to the playoffs. :) I'm not going to say DirecTV is for everybody, but it was definitely for me because it met MY needs - my FOOTBALL needs. It's just too bad the NFL has an exclusive deal with DirecTV - Dish actually looked promising, but just didn't have what I wanted in a satellite service. |

Its a scam. Its not worth a dime. |

The glowing comment on Dish is just not true for everyone. After 6 years of their "creative bookkeeping" I finally switched to DirecTV. In addition to excellent programming their Support people actually speak English, NOT from Pakistan, India, french Canada, or even "Peggy" from who-knows-where. |

Too be honest, I think this may be a scam. But, I don't know! |
