I clicked on the coverage area page at Ting and it was blank.

I've been a Ting customer for several years and love it! Quality is great, as is customer service. Verizon used to charge me over $75. My latest Ting bill was less than $29.

I still have a Total Wireless plan that was in place before the Verizon buyout. I pay $100 a month and $3 in taxes for 4 phones, unlimited talk and text, 100GB data. We use maybe 30GB at most. So far Total by Verizon is letting me keep the plan.

I switched to Comcast from T-Mobile, single, don't need multiple lines. Was paying $50 for one line at T-Mobile, 17.02 for the same thing at Comcast. Which is also my ISP, and the quality is better. If you don't mind no customer service, which I don't need, it's a bargain.

I am so tired of mobile data as it does not help me.I prefer a service that provides me with straight voice service.I use the Jiggerbug service, now known as Lively.

I have a nice flip phone that is easy to use.I have the option of adding text messaging if I need it at a future time.

The larger telephone companies are known for pushing all kinds of services on their customers. With Lively,I just get what I need and nothing else. Good luck with using Ting if they fit your needs.

Have you looked at TELLO?

I've had Ting the past three years or so, and don't see anything better for my limited mobile phone use. I also like their monthly bills, which are easy to read and understand. A final plus is Ting's customer service, which seems to be based in America. Can't understand why it's not more popular.

Another company to look at is MobileX. Several different "plans" available. You can go with their app's suggestion based on your use, select from set rates, or two "unlimited plans" (based on date usage).

I use a t-Mobil plan that costs only $15 a month with unlimited text & Talk and 2.5 GB data and that increases until it gets to 5GB. I prefer not being with a reseller an it eliminates any possible problems. Great service and support.

I use Tello - free, unlimited talk and text. 2 GB of data per month - $10.00 plus tax. Works just fine.

Sorry Bob, I did try to comment and wrote several lines. But I forgot to supply my name and email, which I would have happy to fill in, after I was notified that I was negligent. However, everything I had typed was gone, so I gave up. My comment included my frustration to find if I had coverage, where I too got a blank page and after 15 minutes gave up on their chat.

Count me as another very satisfied Tello customer. I don't use my cellphone all that much, mostly relying on my land line. So I can get by on Tello's minimum plan for $6. Includes 100 mins of talk, unlimited texts, and 1 GB of data. Works great for me!

I forgot to mention that if you go over your allotted minutes or data, Tello doesn't charge you for the excess at exorbitant rates like some carriers do. They just throttle down your speed, and you have the option to unthrottle it at any time by paying your usual monthly rate early. Also, you are not locked into your plan but can change it to something you find more suitable for your needs at any time.

I have Tello and don't use my cell phone much, if at all, but sometimes I like to look things up, so I have 2 GB of data...
100 minutes of voice
Unlimited texts
All for $7.63 a month.

I'm in my second year with Mint Mobile. $15/month for unlimited talk and text + 4 GB data. It's been the most low maintenance of any phone plan I've ever had. Getting a deal on a Samsung phone with my first year sealed the deal.

Just my wife and I, Verizon was charging me $120/month and wanted to increase it. I had Ting internet, they had a high rating from CR, and I switched. Now pay $50/month and have never looked back. If you don't have 4 people in the family, no question about it.

What about comparing to TracFone? I've had TracFone for years and only have trouble if signal is low as it doesn't roam as well after Verizon bought it ( I think)
