Forgot Myspace Password - Comments Page 4

I forgot my password so I went retrieve my password I waited three day's and never received it. So I wrote to customer support and gave them all the info I had on my site. I still haven't received a response what am I doing wrong?

Hi- I got buzzed a couple nites ago and kind of paranoid that my myspace password was too easy for some former friends to figure it out. I changed it but can't remember it. I remember it being 6 letters then they made me add a number. I have sent the link for password request 50x but NOTHING is in my inbox or junk mail. Why is NOTHING coming to my inbox? I can't start a new profile . Please help and/or give some good advice if you can!! thanks

I also changed my password and forgot it the next day. I have contacted customer service, I have used the "forgot your password" link, as well as emailing customer service to two different myspace email addresses. I have sent numerous customer service requests and emails with a salute. What do I get? NOTHING. I almost think I may never get back into my account. Thanks for the recomendations.

I changed my password but when i tried to log back on it wouldnt work so i used the password retrieval thing but it didnt send me my password. i eamiled them about it and they said i should send a salute. So i tried to do a salute and its not sending me that back niether! What do i do?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Unfortunately, the best I can suggest is to keep sending the salute. It DOES work for some.

I sent notes to MySpace and to Hotmail. Hotmail recommended I contact MySpace's server team to have them check their anti-virus software. Yeah Right. After a week of no response, MySpace did finally contact me with this: "If you are receiving this request again, the salute you sent was unclear or did not fit our requirements. Please resend another salute."

The sad thing is my salute was a high resolution picture of me pointing at my MySpace page on the computer(which also has a picture of me), my MySpace number, etc. I am unsure what "requirements" to which they are referring.

Even though it is still not resolved, at least I have gotton off go and might be on the path to resolution. Thanks again for the recomendations. I appreciate your page and explanation. I would not be this far without it.

How long do i have to wait to get a resonse to my salute and has one ever worked?

ok i was changing my password and i accidently pressed another key and didnt realize it untill later and the email i have on that account i deleted like 2 years ago. i sent in a salute but no response . its been 3 days. and i need to get back on to my page. do you know any other methods i could use to get my password back and or change my email?

After a week, I finally am back onto my account. I sent way too many messages with no reply. I believe it was the message using the link on this page that finally got to someone who could help. I found out the previous message about a salute was a auto-generated message. The real help came by contacting them as if I had been hacked. The salute was the key. Thanks again. Without this page, I might have had to start over again. :)

what does the salute do? does it delete the myspace? i lost my myspace password & the password retrieval system doesn't work for yahoo.com [which is the email site i used for my myspace that was hacked]. thanks...?

EDITOR'S NOTE: The salute does not delete your account, o9r affect it in any way. And Yahoo email should work fine for password retrieval. I'm curious why you think otherwise...?

EDITOR'S NOTE: It does seem very unlikely, but did you try to copy and paste that entire string into the password field when logging in? More likely, it was a glitch in the Myspace password retrieval process. My only advice is to keep on trying, sorry.

On April 29, 2007, I had decided to change my password because I believed someone was logging into my account. But then I had forgotten my password! Hi, I tried to change my e-mail and everything went fine. I got the e-mail verification thing and when i clicked on the link to go back to myspace it said"you must be logged in to do that." so i tried to log in with my new e-mail and it would not let me,then i tried with my old one and it would not let me. i used the same password with both. so i thought "maybe the closed my profile" but when i hit surch and type in my e-mail (all_bout_diamond@yahoo.com) i see that my profile is still there even though its private so i said okay i'll click..forgot password but when i type in my new e-mail it says no such e-mail so i typed in my old one and it says the same thing please help me!
