Forgot Myspace Password - Comments Page 6

ok this is very odd. I enter the correct e-mail and the correct password. i have 2 myspace accounts and i changed the password for one of them 2 days ago. Now i cannot log in to either account. I even made sure that i had no CAPS on and even e-mailed myself the passwords by clicking forgotten password and retrieved it through my e-mail. Yet, it does not work! Why would this be happening all of a sudden?

I cannot log in, and when I use the password retrieval link, it sends me an email with the same password I tried before. YES I made sure the capslock was off - even if I cut and paste the password it does not work. My profile is still active, and no obnoxius ringtone/boots/viagara comments have been posted. So can you give me your best guess as to what gives, and the best way to work around it? I have tried to contact MySpace about it but no joy.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Unfortunately you are not alone. Many people who DO have the correct password are locked out of their Myspace accounts. Myspace seems to be an overcrowded, crumbling house.

Myspace is not letting me sign in; I know for a fact that the email I am entering is correct, and I am also 100% sure the password is correct also. [I even had it sent to me a few times, just to be sure] But it still won't let me log on! Whenever I do try to log in, the red box that says "You must be logged in to do that." appears..I don't know what to do.

myspace has said my myspace phished so i followed the advice to change the password but everytime i try the verification image i need to copy will not show up...please help

someone send me a message earlier saying it was myspace support, and told me there was something wrong with my id. so i gave them my username and password so they can fix it, like they said they would!...but now my password doesnt want to work..can u please help me?

When i logged into myspace it said that my account had been phised so i changed my password and then later on when i logged in it said invaild username or password i thought it may have been a hacker but i can still locate my email address when searching in friends also when trying to log in it said to many failed log in attempts please wait 15 mins so i did i waited 9 hours and it was stil saying the same thing any ideas, could it possibly be a myspace glitch because a couple of my top myspace friends have changed too.

I also got the same message as Jason which said my account had been phished...Now I also can't get back into my myspace. I've sent a message to customer service, hopefully they'll send my new password soon.

I have followed your directions and submitted the salutes like you asked. There's a tiny problem though. I forgot to write "Myspace.com" on the sheet of paper :x, does that matter?

So what happens when you do know you're password and still can't login? I have had the password sent to my email anyway and it the password that I use, but I still can't login. Just tells me to open an account when I attempt to login and I am able to see my profile so it has not been deleted. I've written for help, but they aren't much help. Anything left to do?

EDITOR'S NOTE: I don't suppose you've got CAPSLOCK on? It's also possible you're trying to login to a spoofed site. Make sure you manually enter the URL in your browser.

i still dont get what SALUTE means?? and how do i get it? "A salute is a photo of yourself holding a handwritten sign with the word "MySpace.com" and your FriendID on it."

Hello Rob. I forgot my Myspace password and have followed the instructions above. The system will tell me my password has been sent to my e-mail account and when I check my e-mail it's not there. It's not my e-mail account, because I have been able to recieve e-mails from everyone except myspace. For the past four days I have been resubmitting my e-mail info to Myspace, and the system has stated that my password has been sent to my account. However that has not been the case. Please help. Thank you

EDITOR'S NOTE: Perhaps someone has changed your profile's email address? Does Myspace say WHERE it is sending the password?

My email is the same on myspace, I know this because I did a "find a friend" search and all of my info came up on the screen. So I know i am listed under the correct email address. I also have a friend that is exspirenceing the same problem. However, I discovered that both of us log in using "www.forexample@yahoo.com" as opposed to "forexample@yahoo.com". So I believe that the "www." is working agaist us. Because when I drop the "www" it states that my email account does not exist.

For example if you do a "find a friend" search using my email. You wont find my page unless you put the "www." in front of my actual email address.

Do you know anyway I can contact myspace and straight this glitch out? I've already emailed twice. Thank You.

EDITOR'S NOTE: That's the problem. If your email address is XYZ@YAHOO.COM, and you told Myspace that it's WWW.XYZ@YAHOO.COM, then the password reminders will go there. They are two completely different email addresses. If possible, sign up for the "WWW" variant of your email address on Yahoo, and try the Myspace password reminder again.

okay so what happened was. this is my forth myspace due to being hacked twice by someone :@
so it started posting all these bulletins so i changed my password, i logged out, and now it won't let me log back in. i tried every password possible. its saying too many failed attempts. i tried sending it to my email. it just doesnt send, yet im getting all these emails saying "new comments". im on the edge of sanity, i have also tried emailing the customer people, and the salute. i really dont want to make a fifth account. is there ANYTHING else?

How long does it take to get a reply to your salute?

ONCE I FOLLOW THESE RULES TO GET MY PASSWORD I CAN'T SENT IT TO MY CURRENT E-MAIL BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK
