Hey, Bob! Is that you in the photo (with the sling)? I hope not, but if it is -- hope you have a speedy recovery!

EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, that's me!

I appreciate your working through the pain and pills. Dedicated as always.

Amazon can't reliably deliver 2-day goods in 2 days. Why should I expect them to do better with less time?

How much of the common stuff that Amazon sells, could you have much FASTER, if you just went down the road and bought it in a store?
Or doesn't your local drug store sell toothbrushes?

Glad to see that you're on the road to recovery Bob!

By chance, I saw this quote on a T-shirt the other day, in a hardware store, that I'm sure you'll enjoye:

"I'd give My Right Arm to be ambidextrous"

...and I'd add, if not, I can see from today's article that you did get the best happy pills available to get you through the day.

So I'm thinking if Amazon can get a hold of the brain interface in the first article and tweak it a bit your idea of delivering the purchases before one order them (probably only right when you order them at first) will be the wave of the future.

To answer David, I often do need the items in a day or two. Just got a food dehydrator delivered in one day (with Prime subscription) to dry the morels my niece brought home over the weekend.

I'm loving the SpaceX proposal. Real high sipped internet without a cap, what a concept. Perhaps we don't have to move to Europe after all.

You don't have to wait for the Win10 spring update to have to strip your computer of USB and card drives as I have had to do that for the Autumn 18 update for both my machines.
It appears the only difference is that now it's going to refuse to do the update at the beginning instead of wasting your time and effort before getting to the final phase before rolling it all back to how it was, messing everything up,giving you one of the most useless error codes ever thought up and hope you have enough tech knowledge to find, read.understand and follow some of the unofficial windows help sites, cos believe me Microsoft help(an oxymoron if ever)sure ain't.
Thanks to sites like yours us simpletons do find a way through eventually.

That sounds really painful Bob, I am glad you have had the surgery and we wish you well in your recovery!

I think I read somewhere that Amazon Echo listens to you, so it would not surprise me in the least that "she" would order things and deliver them before you realize you want them.

** If I may go off topic, my husband and I learned to our horror this week that the security question and "secret answer" on our online accounts are visible to the employees at that entity. We thought they were only used by the system to send you a temporary password. We had no idea people had access to the information. Folks, it is time to have different (false) answers just like we need different passwords, especially for bank accounts. **

You really should update the picture on your page header, it does you no favours. I've wondered for some years what you look like now, and the answer is 'better'!
I hope you're mending and not too uncomfortable.

I have Win 10 and just paused, under settings, my updates until June 5th. Will that be sufficient to avoid any issues with the spring update??
Hope you heal well, Bob, and keep writing for us neophytes.

Heal fast and well Bob.

As a left hander, I don't see the problem (just joking!). Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I'm looking forward to 4,000+ satellites so that I can get high-speed internet (versus sl-o-oo-ww internet).
With that many satellites in low orbit will they be able to shield us from meteors?!
And--I love two day Amazon delivery. Some of us in the rural areas don't have a Walmart just down the road.

Bob, Wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery. Don't skip the physical therapy when recommended by your doctor! It is hard but works.

When I read about Amazon shipping before you ordered, it reminded me of, back in the 50's or 60's, there was a scam going around that companies would send you a product and then a bill for about 5 or 10 times what the product was worth, hoping you would pay. They would harass you until you paid or send the product back. Finally some court (maybe the Supreme Court) ruled that it was illegal to go after people that hadn't ordered that product from them. This was many years ago and probably before you were born. With that in mind, I don't see Amazon going that far with their shipping times.

Bob, forgot to mention, great job on your typing! Only spotted one misspelled word. Coco

EDITOR'S NOTE: I spelled cocoa wrong? :-)
