Bob - I'm an industrial automation professional who works exclusively with Windows and specialized applications software such as Human-Machine Interfaces and Historians. Despite many years of experience, it's rare that I don't learn something from most of your articles. For that reason, I've been doing what you ask (sharing them) for years. Keep up the GREAT work!

Sorry you got caught in the Google dance. I am also an ex-programmer and IT guy. As such, people of course always want a lot of help, but lately you've given me as much help as I've given them, and I now often refer/link them to your site and articles, mostly by link on Facebook, but also in emails. So, you save me a lot of time and I do spread the word. I'd be surprised if I haven't sent a bunch of traffic your way. I really appreciate your research and insight. Thanks for what you do, and have a Happy New Year!

Google has a way of turning everything around or simply cancelling whatever they choose regardless of the consumer. Too much power and it's annoying. Sorry that they've done you a nasty. I'll notify those that I think will be interested in your newsletter. First found you as the Tour Bus.

Bob, I will definitely continue reading your blog. You sound like a friend of mine from CA. He started working with Intel, working on large main frames back in the 70's. Things have certainly changed over the years.

Happy to help, an easily justified recommend. BTW, back in the day, wasn't the GOOGLE mantra "Do No Evil"? If so, it would appear that they have lost their way. Happy New Year...

Hi Bob, it would be my pleasure to help out as I DO find your newsletters very helpful! Perhaps you can create a newsletter designed for friends and family as you yourself mentioned, and that way we can send that specific newsletter to them which in essence, sells the value of your services and highlights important information that you think may be of value, all in one newsletter. Thank you for your service :)

Hi Bob,

I've been with you since the early days of the 'get on the bus' with Bob and Patrick. And I'm constantly sharing your newsletter and urging people to sign up. I don't care if you're a Mac or PC user, this is one of the most user-friendly and informative enewsletter I've ever come across. Thanks for years and years of education and advice. And, yes, I will continue to urge others to sign up.

Good luck,

brad

I rely all too heavily on your production to use in a Newsletter for a senior computer club. Most of the time I do give you credit rather than flatout plagiarizing. From the occasional comments of members of the club, I know that they in turn have gone to your site and appreciated the quality of the information.
I find that you are much more than others trying to inform rather than sell.
