I learn a lot from reading your articles. I've emailed your articles to my friends, or mailed your articles to those who don't have computers or access to the internet.

I feel you're doing a great service and I hope the New Year is healthy and prosperous to you.

Is there a way to get the Google rankings to change? I too have made a face book post and will tell all my friends but that won't help very much because I have so few.

Sorry that Google "googled" you. They are so good at using their powers regardless of what it does to their customers. My daughter referred me to you Tourbus letters way back there and I have learned so much from your articles, forwarded articles to friends that needed the information in them through the years. I will post on Facebook about your site and recommend you to them. Best of luck.

Bob ...

It's the least that I can do, for ALL your wonderful suggestions, solutions and research, that you have done, over the years for all of your readers!!!

Must note, that your name is well recognized and respected, within the Geek Community, as is Leo Notenboom, Steve Gibson, Leo LaPorte, Chris Pirillo and Patrick Norton. I have learned from all of the fore mentioned names, that I think, highly of ... However, Bob ... In my book, you rank #1 in my favorite Geek. You are in my in-box 5 days, out of the week and always give me excellent information or review. Listen, this is a technological world and we all not only need new information, but, review of things we need to know, to utilize the new information.

I am one of your biggest fans, Bob and always will be ... Like several other fans, I have been reading your newsletter, since 1997, when you wrote for The Tourbus, which became The Internet Tourbus and then finally, Ask Bob Rankin. :)

Hi Bob,
I run an iPad users group for my local U3A, and our discussions often turn to problems with laptops and P.C.s - and I always mention your newsletter as a fantastic resource for problem solving. Long May you continue! Best wishes for 2014

I enjoy your site very much and have downloaded several free programs most recently Privazer. Thank you for the continuing advice.

Recently I told the members of my boat owners group,
more than 100, to check out your site. I hope many of them became regular viewers.

Hey There Bob,

Don't worry. Google can't control EVERYTHING and they can't keep a good man down. The people, like me, will tell Google to remember it is we the people who made them. They owe their success to us and I don't believe for a minute Google will find more success treating people this way. You are the good fellow in this mess and will come out on top.

I will surely notify all my contacts about your wonderful web site. All the best and much success in 2014. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I teach an online Computer Applications / Literacy course. I often post links to your articles in the discussion threads and suggest that students use your site as their "go to" source for advice on any technology questions they have. I'm a reader from the Tourbus days, too. Thanks, Bob, and Happy New Year!

Good day Bob, Your article tore at my old heart strings. Like all the fine posts above, and the references to Tourbus, I have, at 77 and a Johnny-Come-Lately to the Techno-Scene (if someone had said Gigabyte to me when I was 60, I would have reckoned I was being insulted about the way I eat!) gained so much knowledge from you, first through Tourbus and later on, Ask Bob Rankin, but have been able to contribute but little as I am very, very far from being a Geek (!). I was born way back in l937 and need your fantastic advice and guidance. Through you, I have learned to do scheduled incremental backups, and now have an Iomega external HDD.

I too find your articles excellent, and given from your heart, without any expectation of reward. Your unique sense of humor gives me many a chuckle, and makes me happy. Your very humorous illustrations are always spot-on apt.

One also knows a man by the friends he keeps, and just look at how many you have, including Ask Leo from whom I have also learned much!

I sometimes post at How-to Geek, another fine and excellent site for kindly help, and in one post I mentioned you with admiration as "the inimitable Bob Rankin"! So as you can see, we all love you for your outstanding honesty and integrity, the beauty of your writing style, and your fearlessness. You are indeed our grand instructor on things techno.

As Cliff kindly said, if we only knew how, probably most of us would donate to keep you with us, but I realize that's not your style. Slip us a hint on how-to... You well know there is more happiness in giving than receiving (as the Greatest Man who ever lived said).

Best regards to you, with gratitude.
