hi i have a magic jack it work for a month , but i have to reset every morning to let them work , now it not work no more , so what can i do now event i take it out and put in another computer they do not thing, i see the light in the jack stil on so please help thank you

I had to redo windows and now magic jack comes up as a mass storage and a cd rom the icon does not even come up on my desktop screen. So I need help now or some new drivers at least.....

Hello, Does MJ work in the outside of countries other than US and Canada? I mean, if I go to business trip then can I make a call to US with MJ? For example, calling from England with MJ that has 213 local area telephon number to my company has same 213 area number. Is it possible?

I love the magic jack it was the only way for me to afford a phone in my home also the bad part is
the device you can plug into your computer the usb part broke and the only way they well help you
if you got it off the tv they show is you got to
send it back like you got it package & wrapper.If
i had 39.95 i would have gotton it from a store.

I purchased magic jack. After realizing I can't get my area code I brought it back but now I can't figure out how to get my money back from magic jack phone service. I am unable to get the information.

Melinda . . . I have the exact same problem (reinstalled a clean copy of Win XP and now MagicJack installs as a CD-ROM device and obviously does not work) . . . here's a link to a site that claims it has a fix for this issue (although it didn't work for me):

Here's the REAL solution to your problem (I just did these steps and they worked . . . for now):

1) Use the HP USB Disk Format Tool to format the removable disk that's installed with MagicJack. You can find the program and instructions here -

2) Run the MagicJack upgrade program, found at www.magicjack.com (do a search for how to run the upgrade on their site). This should reinstall the files needed for your MagicJack device.

This worked for me, although I haven't rebooted my PC yet. Hope this helps!

Being unable to get in contact with what they (Magic Jack) call customer service, I returned the Magic Jack to the only available address that I could find for the company in Florida with a note telling them that I would appreciate a replacement unit as mine had stopped working after more than 2 years satisfactory performance. Since then I am waiting....

Majic Jack is junk. The sound quality is mediocre and your call is often dropped in mid-sentence. After about 3 months, mine just stopped working. The blue light goes out and the device just dies. Your computer will warn you the USB device has malfunctioned and it won't be recognized. Multiple visits to the customer service/technical support "chat" line (obviously they don't believe in their own product enough to use it)and being walked through the same procedures multiple times left me no where. No one will authorize a return of the product, which is just as well since you pay the freight both ways at about $7 a pop. Majic Jack is cheap plastic junk, doesn't work well and won't last that long. Save your money.

I have some questions about your service before I purchase it. Can I keep my other phone line? What about longdistance out of this country? If I use just your line ,can I use a fax? If I don,t get an answer, I won,t need your service.

With the majic jack can i get a canadian phone #

Regarding Canadian Phone numbers, Not yet as far as I know. I have had a Magicjack in Canada for a couple years now and it works great for outgoing calls to anywhere in Canada or the US. I can't use it very well for incoming since the number is in the US although it does work. Magicjack keeps promising Canadian numbers soon, but that has being promised for 2 years now, so don't hold your breath.

I have been using Majic Jack from my computer here in Germany to call my kids in the states and they call my Majic Jack number with no problems. I love the function to switch to head phones. My kids say the reception is great and I can hear them perfectly. It did take me a while to figure everything out as there was no documentation but then I always love a challenge.

I finally gave up trying to get Magic Jack to work right. It keeps saying it needs to be plugged into a usb port. It was but it didn't reconize any of my usb ports. My usb ports are fine for eveything else I plug into them-so it has to be the magic jack thats not working. Also, I've had people tell me they can only understand a couple of words every so often but it's so garbled they have to hang up. When first got it-seemed to work great but after about 3 months it just quit. I paid for 2 years but can't reach anyone to cancel. I just hope they don't bill my credit card because there is no way to cancle. I too had calls dropped after about 45 minutes. It seems like they have sold so many but don't have the servers to handle all the ones they have sold. It can't be uninstalled either

Why is hard for me to login, my pass word never work. I'm leaving in Fort Myers FL., the area code is 239, why Magicjack gave me 561 this area code is form East FL. My owne family does not call me not even from Fort Myers because the area code that I do have is long distant, why is to mouch problems with Magicjack. Thanks
